(Dan Tri) - Pham My Linh is one of 293 candidates who achieved a score of 9.75 in literature in this year's high school graduation exam, the highest score in literature in this exam.

My Linh said she failed the entrance exam to the literature major at the specialized school she loved, so she was "angry" about literature and decided to switch to studying natural sciences at Chuong My A High School.

Her dream is to continue her family's teaching tradition. During her high school years, Linh worked as a teaching assistant in a literature class for middle school students, and thanks to that, she realized that she had a love for teaching.

Linh's method of learning literature is to focus on listening to lectures in class and self-study at her own pace. Looking back on her literature learning process, Linh believes that perhaps because she studied natural sciences, her literature exam results were so high. According to Linh, to study social sciences well, students also need to have good thinking skills, such as linguistic thinking and compositional thinking.

When studying natural sciences, Linh's logical thinking skills improved, which helped her have better methods for self-studying literature.

After the disappointment of failing the literature exam in the 10th grade entrance exam, Linh now realizes that when pursuing a passion, success or failure at a specific time should not be the deciding factor for the whole process.

There will be times when we doubt ourselves, but we should not lose faith and give up on a path just because of a stumble along the way.

During the process of self-studying Literature to prepare for the high school graduation exam, Linh did not practice too much. Instead, Linh actively learned social knowledge and applied it to her literature studies.

To study effectively, Linh always arranges reasonable breaks. During the sprint review process, students easily fall into the competitive mentality with other students and race to practice the number of questions or study the number of books, leading to not having reasonable rest time.

This easily makes you fall into a state of studying a lot, but not accumulating much and not learning from mistakes in the process of practicing.

In addition, the nature of studying literature requires alertness and emotional stability. Linh often prioritizes the times when she feels most alert and comfortable to study literature.

Although born into a family with a tradition of working in the field of education, Linh's parents never put pressure on their children's grades. Family members always help her feel comfortable confiding and sharing when she encounters problems in her studies and life.

Failing the literature exam can also be an opportunity.

Linh admits that failing the literature major at her dream school in the 10th grade entrance exam was the first shock in her life. But looking back now, Linh realizes that this was an opportunity for her to learn more about herself.

Therefore, everyone needs to have the skills to face and overcome their own setbacks. For example, up to this point, Linh has learned how to limit sadness. When experiencing sadness or disappointment, she only allows herself to be down for a set period of time, after that, she will no longer let her emotions drift, and will begin to face and deal with the problem.

Linh believes that failure and sadness help us learn many things. After each problem, I gain experience and learn more. There are things that only failure can teach us most profoundly.

Linh shared: "We are often proud and happy with success and achievements. But it is failures and stumbles that have the ability to change us a lot."

In daily life, Linh often makes cakes for friends and relatives. This is a hobby that helps her relax after school. She also often writes blogs and diaries to understand herself better.

On the journey of growing up, understanding herself is something Linh pays a lot of attention to, because she wants to balance her emotions better and improve herself more effectively over time.

During her high school years, Linh not only studied hard but also actively participated in extracurricular activities at school and volunteer activities of some social organizations. Volunteer activities to support psychological counseling for teenage students made Linh especially interested.

Linh finds that participating in volunteer activities helps her learn many things about how to interact, communicate, and coordinate with colleagues, and she also increases her social knowledge. This is very useful for her in the process of understanding literature, because her life experience has been expanded.

Linh said that she herself had also had difficult times, she thought a lot, was easily swept away by emotions, leading to distraction and not having the steadfastness and stability she wanted. But thanks to the care, support and companionship of her family, she gradually dealt with her psychological problems to better balance her studies and life.

Linh believes that the problems within themselves are something that many of her peers are facing. What she wants to tell her friends is to calmly face their own problems. In the end, only we understand ourselves best and can find the most effective way to help ourselves.

Sharing about her student My Linh, math teacher Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - homeroom teacher of class 12A4 at Chuong My A High School - said that Linh has a good math mindset. During her time studying natural sciences, Linh still participated in literature competitions at school and cluster levels. Her exams all achieved good results, creating surprises for teachers at school.

Although she was given the opportunity to transfer to a literature class to study in the right direction, Linh still chose to study in the natural sciences, because she believes that this learning environment creates ideal conditions for her to self-study literature in a creative and effective way.
