BAC NINH - According to a quick report from the Provincial Civil Defense Command, at 3:00 p.m. on October 8, the flood on Cau River at Dap Cau was exceeding alert level 3 by about 0.45 - 0.50 m, and is forecast to continue to peak (+7.3-7.45 m), exceeding the flood control level of the Dau Han dike by 0.1 - 0.25 m.

100 officers and soldiers of the Defense Command of Region 4, Provincial Military Command participated in supporting the prevention of Dau Han dike overflow.

The area inside the dike line has about 400 households and 2,000 people living. If the dike overflows, it will affect people's lives and property and threaten the safety of the main dike system of Bac Ninh city in the past.

In response to the flood situation on the river, from 1:30 p.m. on October 8, the Defense Command of Region 4, the Provincial Military Command and the Civil Defense Command of Kinh Bac Ward mobilized 100 officers, soldiers and militia to support the people of Dau Han quarter in raising the flood-proof level of the dike. From 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the supporting forces and about 500 people of Dau Han quarter built a total of 3,000 sandbags to reinforce key positions with a total length of about 1 km.

600 people participated in the anti-flooding of the Dau Han dike.

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Tau, Head of Dau Han Ward, currently, the flood protection level of the dike has been reinforced to be 0.20 - 0.25 m higher than the forecast flood peak on Cau River at Dap Cau. To encourage the forces participating in the dike construction, in addition to the ward's budget for purchasing tarpaulins, sacks, sand, etc., Ms. Nguyen Thi Phich's family supported and provided funding to buy bread, drinking water, sandbag ties, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh's family supported 10 million VND to buy gloves and sandbag ties to reinforce the dike.
