9th grade female student died after physical education class at school

(Dan Tri) - During a physical education class, a 9th grade female student in Quang Tri suddenly fainted and was taken to the hospital by her school teacher for emergency treatment, but she did not survive.

On November 27, the leader of the People's Committee of Quang Trach commune, Quang Tri province, said that he had received a report about a female student having a health problem during a physical education class at school.

The incident occurred at Quang Xuan Secondary School, Quang Trach Commune on the afternoon of November 26. At that time, students of class 9.4, Quang Xuan Secondary School participated in a physical education class with the content of practicing short-distance running.

During practice, student VTLĐ. after running about 70m and walking 20-30m suddenly fainted in the school yard.

The teacher in charge of the class immediately ran to give first aid, performed chest compressions on D. and coordinated with teachers in the school to take the female student to the Quang Trach Commune Health Station. The female student was then transferred to the Northern Quang Tri Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment but did not survive.

Immediately after the incident, the Quang Trach commune government and the Board of Directors of Quang Xuan Secondary School visited and encouraged the family of female student D. The government and the school are coordinating to carry out related procedures according to regulations.
