The draw in Hanoi has placed the Vietnamese women's team in Group A with Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. Group B consists of four teams: Australia, Philippines, Myanmar and Timor Leste. The competition for the next round in this group promises to be fierce between three strong teams: Australia, Philippines and Myanmar.

In this tournament, the teams will compete in a round robin to determine the top two teams in each group to advance to the semi-finals on August 16. The third-place match and the final will take place on August 19. According to the format, the top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals and the first team in group A will face the second team in group B, and vice versa.
The tournament will take place from August 6 to 19 at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ) and Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong) . The Vietnamese women's team will compete in the entire group stage at Viet Tri Stadium.
Ahead of this tournament, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team are training in Japan to prepare for the 2026 Asian qualifiers and the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship .
