Dogs roam free like owners, without muzzles
For a week in a row, every time she opened the door early in the morning, Ms. Mai Cuc (living in Tan Son Nhi, Tan Phu, Ho Chi Minh City) was restless.
"Waking up in the morning, there are so many things to do, rushing to get ready to go to the company, but every day I have to clean up dog poop in front of the door. My family has raised dogs for many years, and I love them very much, but I cannot sympathize with people who raise dogs and cats in such an unconscionable way.
My dog has a clean toilet, is well taken care of, and is not allowed to go out on its own to affect other people. But my family has to clean up other people's dog poop. I am so dissatisfied that I can't speak," Ms. Cuc said indignantly.
Even the potted plant she planted in front of her house suffered the same fate on the first day of planting. She bought a tall pot to keep the dogs out, but the cat jumped on it and pooped in it. She planted the plant to make her house look nicer, but now she has to deal with the added frustration of having to clean up cat poop early in the morning.
Similarly, Ms. Thanh Uyen (28 years old, living in Binh Thanh) also cannot know whose dog or cat is constantly pooping in front of her house.
"There are many people raising cats and dogs in the alley, so I don't know whose house it is. It's annoying, but it's my house. If I see it's dirty, I have to clean it up. There's no other way. When singing karaoke, I know who's singing, but people are so stubborn that they can't even deal with it, let alone letting dogs and cats roam free."
Mr. Doan Vien (29 years old, living in Thu Duc City) is extremely cautious when jogging, after being chased a long distance by two large dogs from his neighbor's house.
"Where I live, the roads are straight and connected like a chessboard, so it's very suitable for jogging. About a year ago, my neighbor suddenly brought two big dogs home without muzzles or leashes, letting them run free.
"Once, two dogs suddenly ran out onto the sidewalk where I was jogging, barking loudly, and chased me for a while. I ran as fast as I could until someone came and yelled at the dogs, then they stopped," he said.
He said that along that same road, as the residential area became more crowded, more people moved in, and more people kept dogs. If before, every evening, the elderly and children went there to walk, enjoy the breeze, and young men and women jogged, now there are also people taking their dogs out to defecate and go for a walk.
"There are all kinds of dogs, big dogs, pet dogs, and domestic dogs. No one muzzles their dogs. If there are leashes, they are very loose," he said.
When raising dogs and cats, please be civilized. Don't do it for your own enjoyment.
Many cat and dog owners say that many young people find raising cats and dogs fun and want to raise them. But there are many things that cat and dog owners need to pay attention to, and they need to take care of their dogs like they would their own children.
Therefore, many people advise that you should not be impulsive, not research, immediately bring home dogs or cats and bother other people.

Ms. Tran Thao (25 years old, living in Binh Thanh) said that she and her husband also raise a female dog named Meo, a poodle, over 1 year old. The dog is raised in a 20m2 rented room, with tools for the dog to go to the toilet in the right place. However, sometimes it still runs into the common hallway of the rental house or in front of other rooms to defecate. She and her husband always have to clean up immediately so as not to disturb others.
"There is a park near our house. Every afternoon, my husband and I put a leash on Meo before taking her to the park. Whenever my husband takes Meo out to play, he puts her in a diaper, or brings along tissues and plastic bags to clean up.
"I always hold Meo's leash and don't let him go because I'm afraid he'll run around, chase the children playing in the park, or even run out into the street, which would be dangerous for passersby," said Ms. Thao.
However, Ms. Thao said that once she took her dog out to play and forgot to put it on a leash before opening the door. As soon as the door opened, the dog ran out into the middle of the road, causing a motorbike to brake suddenly and almost fell over. Luckily, the person was not going too fast and stopped in time.
"From then on, wherever I go, I carefully check the leash first or put it in a cage to carry, not daring to let it run behind me unless I go back to my hometown to play around the yard.
"A small, gentle dog that is not a fierce breed does not need to be muzzled, but owners should muzzle large dogs to avoid suddenly causing danger to others," Ms. Thao added.
