Investing more than 5 billion VND in infrastructure and barn equipment, the high-tech egg-laying chicken farming model in Bau Am village, Toan Luu commune of Mr. Nguyen Van Nguyen was built on an area of 3 hectares with a scale of 15,000 Isa Brown laying hens, a super egg-laying chicken breed originating from the Netherlands.

The barn is closed, equipped with feeders, automatic water taps, lighting systems and cooling fans that are adjusted by the hour, ensuring optimal living conditions for the chickens. Thanks to that, the number of chickens on the farm always produces about 80% of eggs. Currently, each day, the farm collects about 12,000 eggs at an average price of 2,500 VND per egg, the farm can earn 30 million VND. The stages of egg collection, preservation and consumption are all carried out during the day to ensure a stable product flow.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nguyen - owner of a chicken farm in Bau Am village, Toan Luu commune, shared: The entire system is operated almost automatically. Thanks to the application of technology, it is possible to control the feeding system, lighting, cooling and monitor the temperature of the barn right on the phone. Although he manages a farm with tens of thousands of chickens, he is rarely present on site. He determined that digital transformation is not a goal but a tool to operate production and business better.

One of the factors that contributed to the success of the high-tech egg-laying chicken farming model in Toan Luu commune is the scientifically guaranteed rearing process. Chickens are taken care of starting from 1 day old. The reserve chicken stage will be raised for 16 weeks, fully vaccinated with 18 types of vaccines before moving to the egg-laying stage. From the 18th week, the chickens begin to lay eggs. In order to avoid interrupting the process, right when 20,000 chickens were at the stage of producing the most eggs, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung - the owner of a chicken farm in Xuan Son village, Toan Luu commune, also brought in more than 10,000 1-day-old chickens to raise as reserve chickens.

Closed-loop farming ensures the process from one day old to egg laying, so the farm's egg quality is consistent in both quantity and quality. After deducting expenses, the farm earns billions of dong in profit each year. In particular, thanks to the application of science in production and breeding, the farm has 20,000 laying hens and more than 10,000 reserve hens but only needs a few workers to serve. From feeding to drinking water, operating the ventilation system is all done automatically, reducing production costs and increasing economic efficiency.
The application of technology helps save manpower, reduce operational errors and especially increase transparency in production. This is also one of the important factors for the farm's egg products to be distributed to the market regularly, without backlog.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung - owner of a chicken farm in Xuan Son village, Toan Luu commune shared: "To ensure the quality of eggs, we not only care about the process but also pay special attention to the chicken's nutrition. Only when the nutrition is guaranteed will the quality of the eggs be delicious."

Mr. Tran Ba Hoanh - Vice Chairman of Toan Luu Commune People's Committee highly appreciated the contribution of high-tech egg-laying chicken farming models in contributing to the local economic development. "In the coming time, the locality will accompany farms to expand this production model to attract workers and create jobs for people", said the Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee.
In the context of agriculture moving towards modernization, high-tech egg-laying chicken farming models in Toan Luu commune have affirmed the direction of sustainable economic development for local people.
