According to Mr. Dao Minh Cuong - Deputy Technical Director of Nghi Xuan Power Company, by the end of March, the unit had completed the overload prevention investment project with 4 transformer stations, 821m of medium voltage lines and more than 5.1km of low voltage lines; repaired and replaced more than 19km of low voltage lines; upgraded 6 transformer stations, 3km of medium voltage lines and replaced insulating accessories, beams and porcelain. In addition, 28 transformers were replaced, 9 transformers were rotated and service facilities at Xuan Thanh tourist area were coordinated to handle defects.
Along with implementing technical solutions, Nghi Xuan Power also strengthens propaganda and mobilizes customers with large loads to raise awareness of safe, economical and efficient use of electricity. To prepare for the opening ceremony of Xuan Thanh tourism taking place on the evening of April 26, the unit also focuses on human resources to deploy tasks to ensure stable power supply for the event.
For Loc Ha Power Company (in Thach Ha district), high loads are mainly concentrated in the restaurant area along Xuan Hai beach (Loc Ha town), Thach Kim Industrial Park. During the summer tourist season, the unit's commercial electricity output more than doubles normal days. To ensure power supply for daily life, production, business, and tourism, Loc Ha Power Company has proactively implemented projects to build and renovate power lines and transformer stations.

Mr. Nguyen Kien Cuong - Director of Loc Ha Power Company said: The unit has newly built and renovated dozens of kilometers of medium and low voltage lines, installed new transformer stations to reduce the power supply radius and prevent overloading of existing stations. Specifically, since the beginning of the year, the unit has replaced and upgraded more than 20 transformer stations to ensure stable and safe power supply. At the same time, coordinating with local authorities to organize propaganda sessions, distribute leaflets to guide measures to use electricity effectively and warn about the risk of fire and explosion during the hot season at village and commune cultural houses, electricity collection points, densely populated areas, seafood businesses, coastal restaurants, etc.
Ms. Bui Thi Ninh - owner of Son Viet Hoang restaurant (Xuan Hai beach) said: "During the summer tourist season, the number of guests coming to eat and drink is quite large, we have to use electrical equipment to preserve and raise seafood, so we consume a large amount of electricity. On average, from May to September, the electricity bill is twice as high as other months. Before entering the peak tourist season, the electricity industry came to guide and propagate to us about using electricity economically, effectively and ensuring safety."
Loc Ha Electricity promotes effective and safe electricity use during the tourist season.
In order to ensure the best power supply for the 2025 tourist season, especially for coastal tourist areas such as Thien Cam, Thach Hai, Ky Ninh, Ky Xuan, units under Ha Tinh Electricity Company have proactively taken solutions and developed response plans in case of incidents, ensuring safe and continuous power supply.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Director of Cam Xuyen Electricity said: "During the hot season, the electricity load increases at hotels, restaurants, and service establishments along Thien Cam beach.... It is expected that this summer, the load will increase by 50% compared to normal times. Therefore, the unit has focused on cleaning and handling defects on the grid and transformer stations, clearing corridors on lines with high loads to promptly detect and handle the risk of grid incidents. Accordingly, since the beginning of the year, the unit has replaced, increased capacity, and rotated 24 transformers at risk of overload during the hot season; measured current, balanced phase load on low-voltage lines of 96 transformer stations with large output. In March 2025, the unit also coordinated with customers who are hotels and motels in coastal areas with their own transformer stations to inspect, clean, and handle defects".
According to Mr. Mai Thanh Tung - Head of the Dispatch Department (Ha Tinh Electricity Company), ensuring electricity during the peak tourist season is not only a professional task but also a responsibility to support the development of the tourism industry. The beach tourism season is also the months of extremely hot weather, the electricity load is expected to increase sharply, therefore, the company has directed its affiliated units to deploy optimal solutions to serve people's lives and socio -economic activities, especially tourist areas and spots, ensuring the best conditions for tourists.
“It is expected that in the summer of 2025, electricity output will increase by about 40% compared to normal days, with a capacity of 450 MW, an increase of 13% compared to 2024. To provide stable and convenient electricity for tourism activities, the company has directed units not to cut off electricity on hot days and give priority to coastal tourist areas. On weekends, many visitors will flock to tourist areas, so power outages should be limited, except for cases of incident handling. At the same time, increase the number of on-duty personnel to handle unusual situations that may arise,” said Mr. Mai Thanh Tung.
