According to the Department of Industry and Trade, Ha Tinh 's industrial production index in May 2025 increased by 3.97% over the previous month and increased by 4.03% over the same period last year.

Thanks to the good growth in May, the industrial production index in the first 5 months of the year increased by 3.8% over the same period in 2024. Of which, 4 level 1 industries all recorded growth over the same period, specifically: mining increased by 29%; processing and manufacturing increased by 3.35%; electricity production and distribution increased by 3.96%; water supply and waste and wastewater treatment increased by 4.19%.

According to the industry, although steel output in the first 5 months still decreased compared to the same period last year due to difficulties in the export market, many product groups recorded good growth such as: fiber increased by 34%; burnt clay construction bricks increased by 120%; construction stone increased by 40%; electricity production increased by 3.5%; commercial electricity increased by 16%...

In particular, packpin products increased nearly 6 times over the same period last year; cellpin products produced since the beginning of 2025 and accumulated to date have reached nearly 7 million. These are new products that have contributed greatly to the growth of the industry since the beginning of 2025.

Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant is expected to operate unit 1 in the third quarter of 2025, which will be a positive signal for the growth of the industry.

In the coming time, Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant is expected to put Unit 1 into operation in the third quarter and Unit 2 into operation in the fourth quarter of 2025; packpin and cellpin output is expected to increase sharply according to schedule, effectively meeting the growing demand from the electric car market. VinFast electric car factory is expected to complete phase 1 in July 2025... These positive signals will contribute to the development of Ha Tinh industry, increasing the industry's production index.
