In the subjects of Math and English, according to the assessment of candidates and teachers, this year's exam questions are in line with the orientation and goals of the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, closely following the structure of the illustrated questions so as not to make it difficult or confusing for students.
The test was suitable for their ability, so most candidates did quite well. That was an important factor that helped them feel more confident when continuing with the Literature subject in the afternoon.
According to the assessment of candidates and some teachers, this year's Literature exam was quite interesting and meaningful, closely following the sample exam and the knowledge content that had been studied and reviewed. The exam continued to be creative but not too surprising, in line with the requirements of innovation in assessing students' abilities.
The literary essay section talks about lyrical feelings, the social essay section talks about family feelings, which is not a new issue and literature is close to life. The open-ended nature of the exam helps stimulate students' creativity while creating a relatively high level of differentiation.
However, to have a profound essay, candidates need to think logically, present a clear structure, have coherent arguments, have good analytical and argumentative skills, and be able to state their personal opinions. The predicted score range this year will be around 7-8 points.
At the end of the non-specialized 10th grade entrance exam, the organization at the exam sites ensured safety and seriousness, no incidents occurred, and no candidates violated the regulations. The transportation and storage of exam papers were in accordance with regulations, ensuring absolute safety and confidentiality.
At 36 examination councils, there were 12 candidates absent without reason.
The exam took place in extremely hot weather. However, with the synchronous participation of departments, branches and localities in preparing good facilities and conditions for the exam, the exams took place smoothly.
The volunteer activities to support and guide students in completing the exam procedures were effectively implemented by the youth volunteers, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, reducing pressure for candidates during the exam period. Students left the exam room with a confident and comfortable feeling. Parents were also quite assured and hopeful about their children's good exam results.
Tomorrow morning (June 4), at 7:15 a.m., more than 900 candidates wishing to take the entrance exam to Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted will continue taking the exam in the following subjects: Math, Literature in the morning; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Informatics, History, Geography in the afternoon. The time for each exam subject is 150 minutes.
