Leaders of Nhu Han commune received the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman recognizing the commune as meeting advanced new rural standards.
Nhu Han is a commune located in the southwest of Yen Son district, 40 km from the district center. The whole commune has 11 villages with 1,477 households, 6,186 people, 4 ethnic groups living together. In 2016, Nhu Han commune was recognized as a commune meeting new rural standards. The average income per capita at the time the commune met new rural standards was 31.2 million VND/person/year, by 2024 it would reach 56.3 million VND/person/year. The total number of poor households in the commune is 39, accounting for 2.7%; near-poor households are 28, accounting for 2.0%. The result of mobilizing resources to implement advanced new rural areas of the commune reached over 66.5 million VND.
To maintain the new rural criteria and improve the quality of the achieved advanced new rural criteria, Nhu Han commune continues to promote the role of Party committees and authorities at all levels, mobilize the participation of the entire political system and the entire people in the process of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction. At the same time, regularly review the criteria, grasp the implementation process to have timely measures to remove difficulties; promote the initiative and creativity of cadres, party members and people in the implementation process.
Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to collectives and individuals with achievements in building advanced new rural areas of the commune.
The commune continues to promote production development, increase income for people; propagate and mobilize people to actively change the structure of crops and livestock, apply scientific and technical advances in production. Along with that, create favorable mechanisms for collectives, individuals and households to develop farm economy , attract investment from enterprises in agriculture and rural areas.
The commune mobilizes and effectively uses resources to improve traffic infrastructure, irrigation works, and cultural houses in the area. At the same time, building new rural areas is associated with promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups, implementing civilized lifestyles, and maintaining security and order.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 5 individuals; the Chairman of the Yen Son District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 4 individuals with achievements in the movement to build advanced new rural areas of the commune.
