Tuyen Quang has 2,700 models and self-managed groups on environmental protection.

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing the movement " Tuyen Quang joins hands to treat waste and fight plastic waste" in the period of 2020 - 2025.

Implementing the Movement "Tuyen Quang joins hands to handle waste and fight plastic waste", from 28 district-level pilot models on waste collection, treatment and fight against plastic waste deployed in 2020, up to now, the whole province has had more than 2,700 models and self-managed groups on environmental protection. The models have become routine and operate actively and effectively, contributing to raising awareness, sense of responsibility, and self-implementation of people in environmental protection, new rural construction, especially waste classification, collection, treatment and fight against plastic waste in residential communities throughout the province.

The Fatherland Front and member organizations at all levels in the province have mobilized union members, members of self-managed groups and organizations and people to contribute to the construction of over 71,000 tanks and pits for waste treatment; over 26,000 trash cans; over 960 garbage carts were supported and contributed by people; 22,300 environmentally friendly shopping lanes were donated; over 92,000 leaflets and friendly bags; 1,734 organic waste compost tank covers; over 20,000 other items to support people in collecting waste; built 639 works and models of ecological bricks from plastic waste; the total value is estimated at over 8.5 billion VND; the amount of waste collected and treated is estimated at over 95 thousand tons... Thereby, promoting the role of the people as the main subjects in environmental protection and implementing the movement "Tuyen Quang joins hands to treat waste and fight against plastic waste".

Participating in implementing a civilized lifestyle in weddings and funerals, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province and its member organizations have strengthened propaganda and mobilized cadres, union members, association members and people to implement; preserve and promote good customs and cultural identities of ethnic minorities, eliminate backward customs and practices, harmful effects of early marriage and incestuous marriage; do not participate in or promote superstitious activities, etc., contributing to the effective implementation of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

Individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for their work in implementing civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have consulted with the Party Committees, chaired and coordinated with the authorities to organize 189 meetings with 7,745 delegates who are village elders, clan leaders, Party cell secretaries, village chiefs, people practicing spiritual beliefs, and prestigious people who are typical of practicing civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals, creating consensus among the delegates in discussing the contents that need to be changed or eliminated to suit the customs of each ethnic group and the provisions of the law on weddings and funerals.

At the same time, organize 4 seminars to meet 247 representatives of Dao, Cao Lan, Tay and Mong ethnic groups; maintain the operation of 2,081 models in 1,426 residential areas; propagate and mobilize people to preserve national cultural identity, wear their national costumes at weddings; propagate family values, the importance of marriage, limit divorce, early marriage, and incestuous marriage.

At the conference, delegates discussed good and effective practices at the grassroots level, and gave their opinions to continue to effectively maintain self-management models on environmental protection; implement civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals, raise awareness and consciousness about environmental protection, preserve and promote the nation's fine cultural identity...

On this occasion, 17 collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing the movement "Tuyen Quang joins hands to treat waste and fight plastic waste" were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 68 collectives and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the movement "Tuyen Quang joins hands to treat waste and fight plastic waste"; 20 collectives and 50 individuals with achievements in the work of the Front participating in implementing a civilized lifestyle in weddings and funerals.
