Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, Principal of Dien Lu Secondary School (Ba Thuoc) with students.

The dream of becoming a teacher has always been in the mind of Nguyen Van Cuong since he was in primary school. After graduating from high school, Nguyen Van Cuong registered for and was admitted to Hong Duc University. In 2001, after graduating, Mr. Cuong was assigned to teach at Dien Quang, Luong Trung, and Dien Thuong Secondary Schools (Ba Thuoc). With his youth and enthusiasm for the career of educating people, Mr. Cuong has strived to overcome difficulties and achieved many achievements in teaching. In 2011, Mr. Cuong was appointed Vice Principal of Luong Trung Secondary School. In 2014, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong was appointed Principal of Dien Thuong Secondary School. In September 2023, Mr. Cuong was transferred to Dien Luu Secondary School by the People's Committee of Ba Thuoc district.

Identifying improving the quality of teaching as a key task, Mr. Cuong and the school's board of directors have encouraged teachers to innovate teaching methods, apply information technology to lectures; study to improve their qualifications and professional skills. Develop specific working regulations with school rules and regulations; promptly commend teachers with many achievements in teaching. In addition, Mr. Cuong also spends time observing teachers' lessons. Through the lessons, he has pointed out the advantages and limitations of each teacher's lesson to promote the positivity, initiative, and creativity of students and the leading role of the teacher.

Along with focusing on improving the quality of teaching and learning, Mr. Cuong proactively proposed to the local Party Committee, authorities, and Ba Thuoc district to build and repair classrooms, the principal's office, and functional rooms; to renovate the school grounds to create a green and clean landscape, so that students have a place to play and participate in collective activities. Currently, Dien Lu Secondary School is building a 3-storey classroom block with 12 classrooms; renovating the campus, school yard, repairing 10 classrooms and auxiliary works..., it is expected that by June 2025, the school's construction items will be basically completed.

Mr. Cuong actively consulted with Ba Thuoc district, local Party committees and authorities to build infrastructure. Currently, the school, classrooms and functional rooms of Dien Lu Secondary School are spacious and meet teaching and learning needs.

Teacher Nguyen Van Cuong, Principal of Dien Lu Secondary School, said: To improve the quality of teaching, the school focuses on training and improving the capacity of staff and teachers to effectively implement the 2018 generaleducation program. Instruct subject teachers and professional groups to discover and nurture talented students from grade 6 as the "nucleus" for teams competing in excellent student competitions at all levels. At the same time, the school organizes for teachers to participate in learning experiences at leading schools in the province. Advise the Party cell to issue a thematic resolution on improving the quality of key education. In the coming time, Dien Lu Secondary School will continue to focus on building a team of teachers with professional capacity and dedication to the cause of educating people. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning, building the school into a trusted address for parents.

Thanks to the efforts of the staff, teachers and employees, including the contribution of teacher Nguyen Van Cuong, over the years, Dien Lu Secondary School has achieved many achievements in educational work, becoming a bright spot in the education sector of Ba Thuoc district. In the 2024-2025 school year, Dien Lu Secondary School has 105 excellent student awards. In the provincial cultural subject excellent student competition, the school won 5 awards, ranking first among secondary schools in Ba Thuoc district.

With his contributions, teacher Nguyen Van Cuong was awarded many certificates of merit by the Department of Education and Training and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Thuoc district. He deserves to be a shining example for teachers to learn from.
