Expanded flight network
In recent years, South Korea has become the largest tourist market of Khanh Hoa. Korean tourists love the land of Agarwood not only because of its beautiful scenery, but also because of its attractive cuisine and friendly people. In Nha Trang, a Korean town has been formed with hotels, restaurants, cafes, spas, shops selling clothes, shoes, and souvenirs for visitors from the land of kimchi. Restaurants specializing in traditional dishes such as: Ot Dang, Ba Toi, Man, Xom Moi Garden, etc. are crowded with Korean visitors, and are often shared by tourists on social networks. "In Korea, there is a lot of information about Nha Trang tourism. Many people who have been to Nha Trang have reviewed it very attractively, so this summer, I invited my close friends to go on vacation and explore tourism here," said Ms. Song Jeong Eun (a tourist from Busan, South Korea) after arriving in Cam Ranh on a Vietnam Airlines flight.

Attractive tourism products and convenient flight routes have led to a continuous increase in Korean visitors. According to a report by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first 4 months of 2025, Khanh Hoa province welcomed more than 812,800 Korean visitors, an increase of 6.5% over the same period last year. These figures affirm the particularly important role and development potential of the Korean tourist market for the Vietnamese tourism industry in general and Khanh Hoa province in particular. In May, the number of Korean passengers passing through Cam Ranh International Airport reached 181,714 (including arrivals and departures), an increase of 3% over the previous month.
The steady growth in passenger numbers is an opportunity for airlines to expand their flight network between major cities in Korea and Khanh Hoa. Recently, Vietnam Airlines opened a Busan - Cam Ranh route with a frequency of 1 flight/day. This route contributes to attracting more passengers from Busan (the second largest city in Korea) to Khanh Hoa. According to information from Cam Ranh International Airport, there are 9 airlines operating flights from Seoul (Incheon Airport), Busan, Cheongju and Daegu (Korea) to Cam Ranh with a frequency of 19 flights/day.
Continue to promote and advertise tourism
According to Mr. Cung Quynh Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, direct flights from Korea are developing steadily, this is an opportunity for Khanh Hoa tourism to attract more visitors from the land of kimchi. However, to maintain and develop the number of visitors, Khanh Hoa tourism industry still needs to promote promotion, invite Korean famtrip groups to experience and explore tourism in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to spread.
With that orientation, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association coordinated with Vietnam Airlines to organize a famtrip delegation to survey and promote tourism in two major cities of Korea, Daegu and Busan (from June 3 to 7). At the meeting with the Korean General Administration Representative Office in Busan, Mr. Pham Minh Nhut - Chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and members of the delegation shared a lot of information about the destination of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, such as: Favorable natural conditions, rich tourism products, attractive cuisine and friendly people, etc. At the same time, he requested the Korean General Administration Representative Office in Busan to support the promotion of Khanh Hoa tourism information to attract Korean visitors to the province. “The leaders of the Korean Tourism Organization Representative Office in Busan highly appreciate the attractiveness of Khanh Hoa tourism; they promise to support the promotion and introduction of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa destination to travel companies and Korean tourists,” Mr. Nhut shared.
At a higher level, Khanh Hoa provincial leaders are planning to connect and further expand tourism cooperation with Korea. During the meeting with Korean Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Shin Choong Il on the afternoon of June 6, Comrade Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee discussed continuing to expand cooperation with Korea in economic fields with the province's strengths, including tourism. Consul General Shin Choong Il said that Korea attaches great importance to tourism development cooperation with Khanh Hoa - a major tourist center of Vietnam that is very popular with Korean tourists. According to the plan, at the end of June 2025, the Korea Tourism Organization will work with the Provincial People's Committee to discuss cooperation programs and solutions to promote tourism development between Khanh Hoa and localities of Korea.
