Phuc Ninh commune meets model new rural standards

Director of the Department of Justice Nguyen Thi Thuoc presented the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman recognizing Phuc Ninh commune as meeting the model new rural standards.

Phuc Ninh has 16 villages, 1,502 households, over 6,000 people with 12 ethnic groups, of which the Dao ethnic group accounts for 81.1%. In 2018, Phuc Ninh commune was recognized as meeting new rural standards; in 2023, it will meet advanced new rural standards. The average income per capita at the time the commune met new rural standards in 2018 reached 31.2 million VND/person/year; in 2024, it will reach 62.6 million VND/person/year. The total cost of building a model new rural area in the commune is over 228.7 billion VND.

The commune achieved 7/7 model criteria for production organization with over 50% of key agricultural products certified to be produced according to standards, regulations, and traceability. The OCOP product of Phuc Ninh grapefruit was certified 4 stars. 100% of residential areas are installed with public lighting systems. Khuon Thong village meets the criteria of a smart village with internet infrastructure, 3G, 4G mobile waves covering households; the village has 3 security cameras installed on main roads.

Director of the Department of Justice Nguyen Thi Thuoc awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to collectives and individuals with achievements in building model new rural areas.

To continue to maintain and effectively and sustainably implement the new rural criteria, build a model new rural area, smart new rural area, in the coming time, Phuc Ninh commune will continue to promote the role of Party committees and authorities at all levels in leading and directing the construction of new rural areas. The commune continues to effectively implement the plan to develop agricultural and forestry commodity production according to the value chain; mobilize people to apply science and technology in production, creating commodity products to meet market demand. At the same time, develop key local products associated with the implementation of the program "One commune, one product". The commune flexibly adapts to the process of merging administrative units, taking advantage of the new scale to comprehensively develop the socio- economy associated with preserving and maintaining culture, ensuring local national security and defense.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 5 individuals; the Chairman of the Yen Son District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 7 individuals with achievements in building model new rural areas.
