A writer for Fox News and the New York Post posted on social media X images of what is believed to be the suspect when he was arrested. The suspect's identity and motive have not yet been confirmed. However, some sources said the suspect is a white man in his 60s.
Trump's level of protection is limited.
Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said that in an area like the golf course, it is more difficult for the Secret Service to protect Mr. Trump. Moreover, the level of protection for a former president is more limited than that for a sitting president. “The golf course is surrounded by bushes, so when someone goes into the bushes, they are pretty hidden. Furthermore, Mr. Trump is not the sitting president. If he were the sitting president, the entire golf course would be protected by the Secret Service, but he is not the sitting president, so the security measures are limited to the areas that are deemed necessary,” Mr. Bradshaw said.

Trump was recently warned about the threat from Iran
According to people familiar with the matter, US intelligence officials recently briefed Donald Trump’s campaign on new signs that Iran was planning to target the former president and people around him. At this point, there is no indication that the intelligence is related to the second assassination attempt on Trump. CNN previously reported that the administration had intelligence about an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate Trump weeks before the July attempt on his life at a Pennsylvania rally.

CNN cited legislative sources as saying that the shooting suspect was identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, a white man in his 60s.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff, a witness saw the suspect running out of a bush and took a picture of the suspect's car, which helped security forces control and arrest the suspect. "I saw him run out of the bushes and jump into a black Nissan. I took a picture of the car and the license plate," the witness said.
Suspect found near Mr. Trump
A local police chief said a Secret Service agent spotted the barrel of a gun protruding from a fence at the Trump International Golf Club, about 300-500 meters from where Trump was standing. Police then opened fire and arrested the suspect.
