Accordingly, Chau Thon Hydropower Plant (Chau Thon Commune) will begin to regulate discharge from 0:00 on June 5, 2025 , with a flow rate of 30 m³/s to 80 m³/s through the gate. The discharge will last until the end of the current flood season.

Next, Ban Coc Hydropower Plant (Chau Kim Commune) will discharge water from 0:30 on June 5, 2025 , with a total flow rate of 11.16 m³/s to 200 m³/s , including discharge through the gate, spillway and generators. The goal is to maintain the lake water level not exceeding the normal water level at elevation 376m.
Song Quang Hydropower Plant (also in Chau Thon commune) will operate to discharge at 1:00 a.m. on June 5, 2025 , with an expected flow ranging from 30 m³/s to 120 m³/s , through all three forms of discharge: sluice gate, spillway and generator set.
This activity is part of the operating process approved by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to ensure safety for the project as well as the downstream area.
