Strengthening the capacity to protect and exploit intellectual property for OCOP product owners

(QBĐT) - During 2 days, June 5-6, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance (CPA) coordinated with the Center for Research and Development of Agricultural Systems to organize a training course to enhance capacity on protection and exploitation of intellectual property for producers and traders of OCOP products, typical agricultural products in the province.

The training course was attended by 100 trainees from cooperatives, cooperative groups, production and business establishments, and small and medium enterprises across the province.

Students are provided with knowledge such as: Registering industrial property protection rights (trademarks, industrial designs, inventions, utility solutions, trade names, business secrets, combating unfair competition, using special trademarks, etc.); registering for foreign protection; managing and exploiting industrial property rights according to OCOP and value chains; announcing, managing quality, tracing the origin of products after protection and OCOP products.

Through the training course, students will understand the significance of building, protecting and managing intellectual property for local specialties and products. From there, it will help organizations and individuals build, manage and develop intellectual property to serve their production and business activities, building strong brands that are trusted and chosen by consumers.
