, in Dong Hoi City, Agriculture and Environment Magazine ( NN-MT) in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Center for Media Development, Nhan Dan Newspaper organized a workshop on "Application of AI in journalism, environmental culture and marine tourism development". Attending the workshop were comrade Le Minh Ngan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment; representatives of leaders of ministries, branches and localities.
The workshop gathered more than 100 delegates from central agencies, 28 coastal provinces, technology experts, tourism businesses and more than 30 press agencies. With many presentations focusing on in-depth analysis of digital transformation trends in journalism, application of artificial intelligence (AI) to communication, promotion of marine culture, protection of the marine environment and promotion of green tourism model development.
At the workshop, experts and delegates studied and researched the following topics: Applying AI to communicate marine tourism culture; using AI to build smart communication campaigns; developing multilingual AI chatbots, providing information on sustainable tourism culture; creatingeducational content using AI on preserving marine tourism culture; trends in applying AI in modern journalism and communication activities; discussing solutions to improve the effectiveness of communicating marine tourism culture through technology (AI); enhancing cooperation between press agencies, media units and technology experts.
The workshop is an opportunity for journalists, managers, technology experts and tourism businesses to exchange experiences, propose solutions and expand cooperation in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to develop press content, preserve marine culture, protect the environment, communicate about ocean plastic waste and develop sustainable marine tourism.
Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Le Minh Ngan affirmed: Vietnam possesses great potential in developing marine tourism and artificial intelligence AI is bringing new opportunities for the tourism industry to make breakthroughs in a sustainable, creative and environmentally friendly way.
More importantly, AI helps the marine tourism industry reach the right audience, at the right time, and in the most appropriate way - thereby spreading the image of a green, friendly, integrated Vietnam, attracting investment, and enhancing the country's position. For the press, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of the power of technology, applying AI to serve the country's development, develop environmental culture, and develop tourism.
On this occasion, the NN-MT Magazine launched a photo contest: “Journalism with Vietnam’s seas and islands”. The contest aims to arouse citizens’ sense of responsibility towards the marine environment, spread love for the homeland and vividly reflect authentic slices of majestic nature, fishermen’s lives, sustainable marine economic-tourism development models, and efforts to protect sovereignty and preserve the cultural identity of Vietnam’s seas and islands.
Within the framework of the event, the photo exhibition “Action for the blue ocean” was also opened with more than 80 works on display reflecting the lives of fishermen, the natural beauty of the sea and islands, human impacts on marine ecosystems and models of cultural conservation and marine environmental protection.
