Trump promises not to send US troops into foreign conflicts if re-elected

Former US President Donald Trump has pledged that if he is re-elected to the White House this year, he will not send Americans to fight and die in countries they have never heard of. Speaking at a campaign rally in the battleground state of Pennsylvania over the weekend, former President Trump declared that he is the only person capable of preventing a global conflict, while asserting that his Democratic opponent - Vice President Kamala Harris - would "take us all into World War III" if he were in power in the White House.

“To make her president would be to gamble with the lives of millions of people. Our boys and girls would be drafted into the military to fight in a conflict in a country you have never heard of,” Trump said. In his acceptance speech for the Republican presidential nomination earlier this year, Trump promised to “end every international crisis created by this administration,” notably the conflicts in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip. The politician has never offered specific plans to bring world peace, but has repeatedly warned that by funding “other people’s conflicts” under the leadership of President Joe Biden and his “deputy” Harris, the US is increasing the risk of World War III. According to RT, last week, Trump said on the social network Truth Social: “If Harris gets four more years, the Middle East will be on fire for the next four decades and your children will be fighting in the war.” Speaking to a crowd on October 26, Trump promised not to send the country’s military into conflicts abroad. Trump has repeatedly said he would end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours if re-elected, even before being sworn in, by forcing both sides to negotiate. However, Harris has criticized Trump’s approach, arguing that he would essentially force Kiev to surrender. Russia has also expressed skepticism about Trump’s promise of peace. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov believes there is no “magic wand” that can stop the fighting overnight.
