OpenInfra & Cloud Native Day Vietnam 2025: Connecting the Open Infrastructure and Cloud Community

On the morning of July 26 in Hanoi , the OpenInfra & Cloud Native Day Vietnam 2025 event took place with the theme "The New Era of Vietnam's Digital Leap".

The event was organized by the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA) in collaboration with Vietnam Open Infrastructure Community (VietOpenInfra), Vietnam Cloud Computing and Data Center Club (VNCDC), with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology .

With more than 1,000 guests including experts, engineers, developers and businesses attending, the event continues to affirm its role as the leading technology exchange platform in Vietnam, connecting the technology enthusiast community, promoting the development of digital infrastructure products and open source software.

In his opening speech, Mr. Vu The Binh - Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Internet Association emphasized the importance of open infrastructure and open source code in the national digital transformation process.

In the context of rapid changes in global technology, Mr. Vu The Binh said that open infrastructure continues to develop as a foundation for innovation when more than 90% of businesses are using open platforms or software in many forms.

According to a Red Hat survey (2024), 82% of technology leaders see open platforms and software as key to driving digital transformation and accelerating innovation; Platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, Linux, Ceph, OpenTelemetry are increasingly playing an important role in operating AI, IoT, 5G/6G and Cloud Native systems.

"10 years ago, 'cloud' could be mistaken for clouds in the sky, and 'open source' sounded like a 'martial arts secret.' But today, we are here, connecting with the global Open Infrastructure community in more than 180 countries, together turning lines of code into the driving force for innovation. Therefore, VIA leaders hope that delegates will 'let their souls' into the discussion sessions, connect with creative minds and who knows - maybe you will find a 'million dollar' idea right at the program," said Mr. Vu The Binh.

The program brings together more than 20 in-depth presentations, focusing on strategic technology topics: AI and Generative AI: chatbots, code generation, AI for creating visual and audio content; Cloud Native and open infrastructure: OpenStack, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Container; Big Data and Machine Learning: big data analysis and application; IoT & Edge Computing: connected devices and edge computing; NFV and SDN: flexible, scalable network infrastructure; 5G/6G blockchain: the foundation for the next generation of technology.

The event is not only a place to share knowledge and technology but also a bridge to develop the open source technology community in Vietnam, contributing to promoting open thinking, independent digital infrastructure and shaping the future of national technology.
