The second class in this program will be held in Can Tho from November 13-14, 2025.
Attending the opening ceremony, from the Center for Training in Standards and Quality Measurement (QTC), there were Deputy Director Dang Thanh Tung and Senior Lecturer in Petrochemicals - Fuels Dinh Thi Ngo - lecturer of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Head of the Technical Committee of National Standards TCVN/TC 28 on Petroleum Products, National Committee for Standards and Quality Measurement; Head of the Standards Committee - National Committee for Standards and Quality Measurement Nguyen Van Khoi.
The class organizing committee includes Deputy Head of Technical - Technology and Safety Department Bui Quang Minh; Deputy Head of Petroleum Engineering Department, Technical - Technology and Safety Department Nguyen Hong Tuan; Deputy Head of Safety Department, Technical - Technology and Safety Department Vu Thi Thu and all the students who are leaders and employees from the Group's Office and 20 member units of the Group.
In the context of the world pushing the goal of reducing net emissions to “0” by the middle of the 21st century, energy transition – especially towards green fuels and biofuels – has become an inevitable requirement and a key task for sustainable development. In order to update new legal regulations, improve understanding of petroleum, processing processes, as well as awareness of the environmental impact of fossil fuels, the organized training course also helps students grasp the trends, production technology and development potential of biofuels and green fuels in Vietnam and around the world.
The training program includes eight topics: (1) Dissemination of the Law on Product Quality and the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations and State information related to biofuel in Vietnam; (2) General concept of the nature of petroleum. Overview of the main fuels; (3) General overview of biofuels and green fuels; (4) Biofuel; (5) Kerosene and Biodiesel; (6) Green fuels in the aviation sector - Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF); (7) Reducing greenhouse gas emissions, aiming to achieve Carbon Net Zero; (8) Introduction to Refineries and Petrochemical plants in Vietnam.
In his opening speech, Deputy Head of the Group's Technical - Technology and Safety Department, Bui Quang Minh, believed that with the enthusiastic participation of the trainees combined with the professional support from the team of lecturers and experts, the training course would bring practical values, helping to improve professional capacity and awareness of green energy conversion - a task that is both strategic and humane in the development and expansion journey of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group.
Deputy Director of QTC Dang Thanh Tung affirmed the urgency of the training course in the context of the world facing enormous challenges regarding climate change, energy security and sustainable development. At the same time, he wished the trainees to accumulate valuable knowledge and improve their professional knowledge to support their work process.
