Among the media training institutions, the Vietnam Women’s Academy is the one with the most “affordable” tuition fees, with about 14.4-16.5 million VND/school year (equivalent to 30 credits/school year) for the multimedia communications major. This tuition fee may change each school year and according to state regulations.
The Academy of Journalism and Communication, despite being one of the top schools in media training, still keeps tuition fees relatively accessible in some majors such as multimedia and mass media at VND507,000/credit, equivalent to about VND18.1 million/year.
Meanwhile, the tuition fee for the international media major is twice as high, about 1,058,000 VND/credit, equivalent to 33.8 million VND/year. The school plans to take 300 quotas for this major with admission methods such as high school graduation exam results, considering academic records and a combination method.
On the other hand, some schools have exceptionally high tuition fees, especially for international joint programs or high-quality training.
Specifically, the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology has 3 different tuition levels, depending on the program. Specifically, the general program has tuition fees of 29.6-37.6 million VND/year; the high-quality program has tuition fees of 49.2-55 million VND/year and the international joint program has tuition fees of 54-62.5 million VND/year.
Similarly, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University, the tuition fee for the standard multimedia program is 29.8 million VND/year. However, if studying in an international joint program, this number can be up to 60 million VND/year. The school recruits 3 subject groups for this major including D01 (math, literature, English), D14 (literature, history, English) and D15 (literature, geography, English).
Notably, the communications-marketing industry, a branch combining communications and business, has tuition fees of up to 65 million VND/year, applied at Foreign Trade University and National Economics University.
This tuition fee reflects the investment in an in-depth training program, integrating two popular fields in the market, to create a competitive advantage for students after graduation. These are also schools with standard scores for the media industry that have always been among the highest ranked nationwide in recent years.
Estimated tuition fees for the media industry at schools for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:

With tuition fees ranging from over 14 million to 65 million VND/year, candidates and parents need to clearly define their learning goals and financial capabilities before making a final decision. Schools with international or high-quality joint programs often come with the opportunity to study in English, taught by foreign lecturers, and an international learning environment, but the cost is also significantly higher.
On the other hand, other programs at public schools still ensure basic training quality, with reasonable tuition fees, suitable for the majority of candidates. In the context of the increasingly expanding media industry, covering many fields from journalism, digital media, corporate communications, marketing to multi-platform content production, the choice of major and school should not only be based on reputation but also need to carefully consider tuition fees, training programs and career outcomes.
