Striving to make Ta Xua a provincial tourist area by 2030

Son La Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the Master Plan for Ta Xua tourist area and surrounding areas, Bac Yen district with a short-term planning period until 2030 and a long-term planning period until 2045.

Striving to make Ta Xua a provincial-level tourist area by 2030.

Accordingly, the planning scope includes the entire Ta Xua commune; Hang Dong and Chong Tra villages (Hang Dong commune); Cao A, Hang Cao and Trang Dua Hang villages (Lang Cheu commune); Hang Cho, Song Chong and Xim Vang villages (Xim Vang commune); Phieng Ban, Tam Hop, Suoi Than and Suoi Un villages (Phieng Ban commune).

The total planned area of ​​Ta Xua tourist area and neighboring areas of Bac Yen district is about 13,000 hectares and the population is about 13,000 people.

The planning objective is to concretize the Son La Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1676/QD-TTg dated December 25, 2023; Master plan for tourism development in Son La province to 2020, with a vision to 2030; Inter-district planning along the Da River reservoir in Son La province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; Conclusion of the Son La Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee on tourism development in Son La province to 2025, with a vision to 2030.

At the same time, promote investment attraction, gradually develop tourism, strive to make Ta Xua a provincial-level tourist area by 2030, a central point connecting tourism with tourist areas and destinations of Son La, Yen Bai , Phu Tho, Lai Chau, Dien Bien provinces. Serve as a basis for land management, construction order, attracting construction investment projects, contributing to socio-economic development in the region.

The planning nature will be an eco-tourism and resort area associated with exploring and experiencing the natural landscape and culture of Mong ethnic communities with a diverse and unique tourism product system such as: resort tourism, health care; entertainment tourism, land sports tourism, air sports, sports event tourism, unique festivals... agricultural eco-tourism, eco-tourism associated with nature reserves, biodiversity protection; community tourism preserving and promoting the originality of cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities; sightseeing tourism to learn about historical relics, culture of ethnic minority communities; combined tourism (MICE), tourism of renewable energy industrial projects (wind power...).
