Launching the Month of Action for Food Safety in 2025

On April 11, the Provincial Steering Committee for Food Safety and Hygiene coordinated with Nha Trang City to launch the Food Safety Action Month 2025. This year's action month takes place from April 15 to May 15, with the theme "Ensuring food safety, focusing on food safety in collective kitchens, catering services and street food".

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Health requested that during the month of action, relevant agencies and units continue to promote propaganda, education , raise awareness, and identify the responsibilities of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members, and people in ensuring food safety and security; promote the role and responsibility of organizations, individuals, and enterprises in enforcing food safety laws; promptly inform about safe, high-quality food supply chains, establishments that violate and pose potential risks to food safety and security. At the same time, strengthen inspection, examination, and supervision of food safety and security work, resolutely combat, prevent, and strictly handle organizations, individuals, production and business establishments that violate food safety regulations; improve prevention capacity, proactively handle food poisoning and food-borne diseases.

In the first quarter of 2025, the provincial Department of Food Safety and Hygiene established 6 inspection and supervision teams on food safety at fairs; 50 food service establishments, collective kitchens providing food services at border gate areas, establishments producing and trading bottled drinking water and ready-to-use ice in the province... Through inspection, the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene drew up a record and proposed an administrative fine of 8 million VND for 1 food service establishment violating food safety regulations. The Department also issued 33 certificates of food safety eligibility; received 7 self-declared product copies...
