Launching ceremony in response to the Month of Action for the Environment and World Environment Day (June 5) , Vietnam National Week of Sea and Islands and World Oceans Day (June 8 ) in 2025 .

World Environment Day (June 5) is launched annually by the United Nations Environment Program and the theme for 2025 is "Fighting Plastic Pollution", calling on the global community to take drastic action to address plastic waste - one of the most urgent environmental challenges today . World Oceans Day (June 8) is an opportunity for the international community to raise global awareness of the important role of the ocean in human life.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ninh launched a response to the Month of Action for the Environment and World Environment Day.

In Quang Ninh , fully aware of the importance of environmental protection, in recent years, the province has issued many resolutions, plans, and directives of fundamental and strategic nature, creating a synchronous and unified legal framework for implementation. A typical example is Resolution No. 10/NQ-TU dated September 26, 2022 of the Provincial Party Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in resource management, environmental protection, disaster prevention and mitigation, climate change response, and ensuring water security for the period 2022-2030. Attention to the environment is an important factor contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of the province.

Leaders of Mong Cai City People's Committee spoke in response to the Month of Action for the Environment and World Environment Day.

At the launching ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ninh and the People's Committee of Mong Cai City called on agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals to take practical actions to contribute to protecting the environment in general and the marine and island environment in particular. The sea is not only a rich source of resources and a living space for billions of creatures, but also a trade artery, an attractive tourist destination, providing livelihoods for millions of people, especially those in coastal areas such as Mong Cai. The launching ceremony is also an opportunity to recognize the important role of the sea and ocean in life on Earth and the sustainable development of the country. Protecting the sea and islands is the responsibility of the whole community, from the government, businesses to each citizen.

A large number of forces and people of Mong Cai City attended the launching ceremony in response to the Month of Action for the Environment and World Environment Day.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, many delegates, armed forces, and people joined in cleaning the beach area in front of the Tra Co Tourist Area Management Board headquarters to Ong Thai Intersection.

Delegates and people participated in cleaning the marine environment from in front of the Tra Co Tourist Area Management Board to Ong Thai Intersection.

For the remaining wards and communes, the People's Committee of Mong Cai City requested to simultaneously organize a general environmental sanitation campaign, collect waste in the area under their management; launch a movement to clean up and treat waste; plant and care for trees in the premises of units and residential areas and mobilize all classes of people to participate in sorting waste at source in accordance with regulations.
