(CPV) - The objective of the study is to develop a digital PCR process to detect and quantify group B Streptococcus, Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
In order to select organizations and individuals to preside over the scientific and technological project "Detection and quantification of group B Streptococcus, Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae simultaneously by digital PCR in pregnant women in Can Tho city", the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho city held a Council meeting on September 5, 2023.
The project will carry out the following contents: Select, consult and collect 300 samples according to the project's sample selection criteria; Develop a digital PCR process to detect and quantify Streptococcus group B, Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae from pregnant women; Compare with commercial processes; Determine the prevalence of Streptococcus group B, Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae from vaginal rectal swabs of pregnant women; Analyze and evaluate external control results; Evaluate the significance/benefits of screening Streptococcus group B, Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae; Draft a digital PCR process to detect and quantify Streptococcus group B, Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae; Design of a digital PCR reagent kit for screening group B Streptococcus, Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae; Development of a manual for the use of the digital PCR protocol for screening group B Streptococcus, Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
The aim of the study was to develop a digital PCR protocol for the detection and quantification of group B Streptococcus, Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
The project is chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Ha Manh Tuan. Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy organizes and chairs the implementation.The Council has provided some comments for the Executive Board to edit and complete the explanation.
