Through models such as clubs, teams, groups, private and formal art training centers, many young people have the opportunity to develop their passion, improve their skills and shine, asserting themselves on the artistic path.

Many models of training and nurturing young talents

There are currently many models of nurturing and training young talents in the field of art in the province. In particular, Dong Nai Cultural and Cinema Center is one of the pioneers in nurturing young talents in many fields of art. Every year, the center organizes many classes from basic to advanced on traditional music, MC, dance, practice singing songs for group activities, etc., creating conditions for talented children to be trained systematically.

Deputy Director of Dong Nai Cultural - Cinema Center Do Thi Hong said that in addition to opening talent training classes, the unit maintains the activities of art clubs, teams, and groups; at the same time, regularly organizes singing competitions, Cai Luong amateur competitions, etc. This is a playground for those with passion and talent, especially young people, to access art in a flexible way, helping the unit discover many young talents, adding to the local mass cultural and artistic movement.

Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts (VHNT) specializes in training human resources in the province's arts sector. With nearly 50 years of establishment and development, the school is the cradle of discovering, training and nurturing young talents in the field of performing arts. The school currently has training majors including: traditional music , Western music , dance and vocal music.

Master Phung Ngoc Long, Principal of Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts, said that the school's annual enrollment always exceeds the target, in which the school focuses on enrolling students from junior high school (grade 6), training and creating conditions for ethnic minority children to study culture and arts. Many students after graduation are recruited to work at cultural institutions in the province and provinces and cities in the Southeast region. Many continue to study at colleges and universities...

“Since its establishment, the school has regularly selected young talents to nurture and train towards the national talent competition for students of cultural and artistic training institutions. This is also the way the school evaluates the quality of teaching and learning activities; evaluates the current state of the artistic workforce, from which it has plans and solutions for training and advanced training in the coming time” - Master Phung Ngoc Long shared.

For nearly 50 years, Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts has made great efforts in discovering, training and nurturing young talents. Many generations of students after graduation have promptly supplemented human resources for the fields of culture and arts in the province and in other provinces in the region. Many artists were trained at the school such as: People's Artist Que Anh, guitarist Cao Hong Ha, singer Hoai Nam...

Cultural exchange - an opportunity for young talents to shine

In addition to discovering and training, art exchanges, performances and competitions also play an important role in promoting young talents. In recent years, Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts has regularly organized performances, participated in festivals and art competitions for students at professional art training institutions, creating opportunities for young people to show their talents, learn from experience and practice skills.

In addition, Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts also focuses on cultural exchanges with local and international partners. Teachers and students of the school have participated in many performances abroad such as Thailand (1994), Korea (1995, 2009 and 2011), Laos (2016) ..., all of which have been highly appreciated, leaving a good impression in the hearts of international friends. In 2017, the school trained 7 students from Champasak province (Laos) which is twinned with Dong Nai province to study art majors.

According to Master Phung Ngoc Long, in 2024, the school signed a friendship cooperation agreement on cultural and artistic exchange activities with the Jeollabuk Literature and Arts Association, Kimje City (Korea). In 5 years, the two units will have visits, exchanges and share information on culture, creativity, and promote art to the community. Thereby, promoting a close friendship and cooperation relationship between Dong Nai province and Kimje City in particular, Vietnam and Korea in general.

However, to further promote young talents in the field of art, managers believe that Dong Nai needs to strengthen the close connection between training and practice; create a connection between training institutions and units operating in the field of culture and arts to ensure job opportunities and career development after completing the training process. In addition, it is necessary to build a long-term strategy for developing young artistic talents, with specific stages from discovery, training to nurturing and development; research and supplement preferential policies for students in specialized and specific fields of art and fields that are difficult to recruit and need to be preserved.
