Vietnam National Administration of Tourism strengthens cooperation with the Vietnamese Embassy in China to promote culture and tourism

Within the framework of the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program in Beijing, Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Trung Khanh visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in China to exchange and update information on the situation of Vietnam - China tourism cooperation and strengthen coordination in two-way tourism promotion and advertising.

Expressing deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Embassy in China, Director Nguyen Trung Khanh emphasized that the active support and accompaniment of the Embassy has significantly contributed to the success of the Vietnam Tourism Introduction Program in Beijing, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of promotional activities, promoting the image of Vietnamese tourism in the Chinese market and consolidating the cooperative relationship between the two sides.

Informing about the program results, the Director emphasized the positive effects of promoting Vietnamese destinations in the key market of Beijing, along with the results of bilateral work with the Beijing Culture and Tourism Bureau and the Tianjin Culture and Tourism Bureau on cooperation in promotion and promotion, developing joint products and considering signing memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the coming time. At the same time, the Director also provided an overview of the situation of tourist exchange between the two countries: in the first 9 months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed nearly 3.9 million Chinese visitors, an increase of 43.9% over the same period last year, affirming the strong recovery momentum of the market.

At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh highly appreciated the efforts of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration in proactively promoting and advertising in China, a market that plays a key role in Vietnam's tourism. The Ambassador said that Tianjin City has expressed its desire to connect directly with the Vietnam National Tourism Administration to coordinate the implementation of two-way tourism promotion and advertising programs; and requested the Vietnam National Tourism Administration to soon have a specific cooperation roadmap to facilitate the implementation.

Regarding market orientation, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that China currently has a vibrant domestic tourism market and the trend of outbound tourism is changing rapidly, focusing on suitable segments such as family tourism, short-term vacations, MICE tourism, as well as unique cultural and culinary experience products.

In addition, taking advantage of existing advantages such as positive destination image, friendly cooperation with China; continuing to optimize e-visa policy, simplifying entry and exit procedures, promoting digital transformation to facilitate Chinese tourists. At the same time, the Ambassador also said that it is necessary to pay attention to developing tourism infrastructure connections, especially direct flights, highways and inter-regional railways; studying and learning from China's experience in developing high-speed railways to expand the ability to connect domestic and regional destinations.

In addition, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh also requested the Vietnam National Tourism Administration to closely coordinate with Vietnamese diplomatic agencies in China and relevant agencies in communication work, guiding tourism market activities according to regulations, and encouraging the development of quality and sustainable tourism products and services.

At the end of the working session, Director Nguyen Trung Khanh expressed his delight at the effective cooperation results between the two sides in recent times, affirming that the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will continue to strengthen cooperation in the field of cultural and tourism diplomacy, contributing to deepening the friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and China.
