While speaking to defend the Office of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) efforts to streamline the US government at a press conference, Mr. Musk was constantly distracted by his son Lil X playing on his shoulder, according to ABC News. "Sorry about this. Normally I would be happy, but he kept poking his finger in my ear," Mr. Musk laughed.

According to the Times of India , the boy also made faces and imitated his father's gestures when Mr. Musk spoke. At one point, Lil X even leaned against the president's desk in the Oval Office, reminding many people of the image of a young John F. Kennedy Jr. in the famous 1962 photo.

At that time, 2-year-old John Kennedy Jr. explored around the presidential desk while his father, then US President John F. Kennedy, worked in the Oval Office in May 1962.

The White House shared footage of the Oval Office press conference, in which Lil X stood out in a brown vest, standing next to his father and President Trump. The boy, whose full name is X Æ A-12, was born in 2020 and is the son of billionaire Musk and Canadian musician Grimes.

This is not the first time Lil X has met President Trump. Lil X also often appears with Mr. Musk at events, including the presidential election night in November 2024.
