Promote opening flight routes in new markets
In 2025, direct charter flights from Astana, Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan) will be put into operation with a total frequency of 16 flights/week, contributing to facilitating tourists and promoting growth of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) market.
In the coming time, the city will continue to expand cooperation with airlines and strategic partners to maintain, increase frequency and diversify flight routes, including charter flights from the Russian and CIS markets.
ANEX Vietnam Company, the pioneer in opening charter flights from CIS countries to Da Nang, shared that in 2026, the unit will promote the opening of the Russia - Da Nang charter route, expected to be deployed from April 1 to October 31, 2026, connecting 14 major cities including: Almaty, Astana, Blagoveshchensk, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Novokuznetsk, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Samara and Minsk.
Flights will be operated by Azur Air and Vietjet Air, using wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 767, Boeing 777 and Airbus A330. Expected frequency is about 70 flights/month, 13,000 passengers/month with an average stay of 10 nights or more.
In Da Nang, Anex Vietnam will cooperate with more than 110 hotels from 2 to 5 stars, ensuring 2,000 rooms/day for tourists. Key attractions include Ba Na Hills, Ngu Hanh Son, Son Tra Peninsula, Golden Bridge, Hoi An ancient town and many existing entertainment areas.
Dual driving force for Da Nang tourism
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of the Danang Hotel Association, the key factor determining future growth is the flight system. Mr. Quynh calls this a “dual driving force” because opening more international flights not only attracts visitors but also creates attraction for investors, international hotel management chains and high-end service brands.

At the same time, Da Nang needs a close connection between the government - businesses - aviation. Market policies, ticket prices, destination promotion and service capacity must operate synchronously for the flight route to bring maximum efficiency.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, Director of the Danang City Tourism Promotion Center, shared that aviation continues to be the main means of bringing visitors to Danang.
The city currently records about 40,000 flights/year, an increase of 20% compared to 2024. The number of international flights to Da Nang increased by 6.4%, while domestic flights increased by 23.2%. Da Nang International Airport remains a strategic trade center, connecting major hubs such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Nha Trang, Buon Ma Thuot...
The peak period from December 2025 to February 2026 will see an average of 140-142 flights per day, with a sharp increase in the number of passengers from South Korea, Japan, Singapore and the Philippines due to the demand for Christmas and New Year holidays. This is considered the “golden time” for Da Nang to carry out promotional activities, advertise and connect with international markets.
Da Nang tourism industry aims to open 1-2 new international routes to Chu Lai airport, while maintaining and expanding the existing international flight network.
The city also promotes connections between domestic and international routes to increase the number of transit passengers, especially from Northeast Asian markets - an area with increasing flight frequency and tourism demand.
“The 2026 tourism stimulus program will be implemented synchronously with airlines, shipping lines and railways, helping to diversify means of transportation to Da Nang and promote the growth of domestic and international tourists. Based on the aviation infrastructure and multi-channel promotion strategy, the city will become a leading destination in Southeast Asia, both modern and imbued with identity,” said Ms. Tham.
