In order to protect and promote the value of Dong Dau archaeological relics, turning this place into a cultural and historical center, a particularly important national relic complex in the early history of the nation's founding. At the same time,educating the tradition of patriotism, remembering the source of water when drinking water, national historical pride for all classes of people inside and outside the province, associated with tourism development; raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities at all levels and communities in preserving, conserving and promoting the value of Dong Dau relics, the Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision 2992 approving the Project "Protecting and promoting the value of Dong Dau archaeological relics, Yen Lac town, Yen Lac district, period 2023-2030".
The specific objectives for the 2023 - 2025 period are: Completing the planning (relic planning, construction planning) for the relic. Completing the zoning and marking of the relic protection areas according to regulations. Conducting research and excavation to clarify the residential, farming, burial and spiritual areas of the ancient Vietnamese people at the Dong Dau relic.
Organize 2 national and provincial scientific seminars on Dong Dau relic. Complete the installation of clusters, signboards, and propaganda to introduce the value at the relic and central points. Complete the compilation and supplementation of handbooks and propaganda documents on the value of Dong Dau relic to serve traditional education. Exploit and put into operation the origin-based tourism route, linking Dong Dau relic with the system of archaeological relics of the Hung King period in Vinh Phuc province.
Phase 2026-2030: Complete the construction of infrastructure in the relic area including green park, additional relic exhibition house. Put into use, preserve, exploit the additional exhibition house, outdoor excavation pits at the relic for research, sightseeing, and study. Complete the scientific inventory, collection, additional documents, display, digitize the collections of artifacts about Dong Dau at the Provincial Museum, Yen Lac district traditional house, integrate into the province's tourism digitization program.
Linking the implementation of tours, sightseeing routes, learning, and archaeological experiences for the public at Dong Dau relic with typical archaeological relics in the Northern midland region and the Red River Delta. Compiling scientific dossiers to submit to competent authorities to propose recognition of Dong Dau archaeological relic as a special national relic.
