A pod of more than 100 dolphins appeared in Nha Trang Bay

On May 19, speaking with reporters, Mr. Pham Thanh Van (44 years old, Nha Trang City) said that at around 1:00 p.m. on May 18, his group was fishing in the Hon Dung area (Nha Trang Bay) and saw a school of more than 100 dolphins.

“A school of more than 100 dolphins was only about 50 meters from our canoe. The dolphins swam in groups, surfaced and dived, creating a beautiful scene within 10 minutes. This was the first time we saw such a large school of dolphins in Nha Trang Bay. I recorded a video of the dolphins and shared it on social media, and received a lot of attention and shares about this amazing natural scene,” said Mr. Van.

Mr. Dam Hai Van - Head of Nha Trang Bay Management Board said that in recent years, dolphins have been moving close to the shores of the islands in Nha Trang Bay. The increasing number of dolphins appearing in Nha Trang Bay is a positive sign that the environment and water quality in Nha Trang Bay are gradually improving; the tasks of the Nha Trang Bay Recovery Master Plan until 2030 of the Provincial People's Committee are being effectively implemented.
