Recently, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has approved the detailed planning project (scale 1/500) of Cam Ranh Bay urban area - Zone 1 with a total area of about 613.4 hectares.
Accordingly, Zone 1 is bordered to the East by Cam Ranh Bay and Da Let Cape; to the West by National Highway 1; to the South by the planned road and residential area of Cam Lap commune; to the North by Cong Thanh Cement Factory. Zone 1 is planned to have a population of about 114,950 people. The goal and nature of the planning area is to build a complete and synchronous urban area including commercial housing, social housing - resettlement, resort service works, golf courses, theme parks and public works, services for residential units... This is a sustainable urban area, suitable for the natural environment and climate change. In addition, Zone 1 will develop a number of resort tourism lands, in line with the orientation of the Adjustment of the General Planning of Cam Ranh City to 2035, with a vision to 2045.

It is known that the total residential area in the planning area is about 497.8 hectares (an average of about 43.3m 2 /person). Of which, residential land is about 165.5 hectares (an average of 14.4m 2 /person) including 73.7 hectares of villas with a maximum height of 3-4 floors; more than 56 hectares of townhouses with a maximum height of 5 floors; more than 34 hectares of social housing with a maximum height of 5 floors; resettlement land is 1.7 hectares with a maximum height of 4 floors. In addition, land for public service works and social infrastructure is about 81.2 hectares (an average of 7.07m 2 /person) including 5.8 hectares of high schools with a maximum height of 5 floors; 32.2 hectares of commercial - service works with a maximum height of 4-5 floors; urban sports land is about 3.7 hectares with a maximum height of 3 floors;Educational land at the residential unit level is about 21.9ha, 3-4 floors high; green land is about 116.4ha (average 10.13m2 /person); traffic land, parking lot is about 132.4ha and 115.6ha of non-civil land (104.6ha of water surface land).
Previously, the Provincial People's Committee also issued 2 Decisions approving the detailed planning project (scale 1/500) of Cam Ranh Bay urban area - Zone 2 and Zone 3, Cam Ranh City. Thus, up to now, the Cam Ranh Bay Urban Area Project has completed the detailed planning projects (1/500) of 3 zones.
