On the afternoon of March 25, at Conference Center 25B (Thanh Hoa City), the first session of the Congress of Delegates of the Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations (abbreviated as the Union) for the 7th term, 2024-2029, took place.
Attending the first session were representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches and 203 official delegates representing more than 34,000 members.

At the first working session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Congress Secretariat and the Delegate Qualification Examination Board; approved the Congress program and regulations; the report on the verification of delegate qualifications; the report on the general implementation of the Charter of the Vietnam Union of Associations; the regulations on the organization and operation of the Thanh Hoa Union of Associations; the review report of the Inspection Board of the Union of Associations, term VI, 2018-2023; elected the Executive Committee and Inspection Board, term VII.
Comrade Nguyen Van Phat, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations, spoke at the first session.
At the Congress, the 7th Executive Committee held its first meeting to elect the Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairmen, Head of the Inspection Committee and General Secretary.
Overview of the Congress
The Congress listened to reports, summarized opinions and recommendations of members; discussed and thoroughly grasped some contents in preparation for the official Congress session.

Tomorrow (March 26), the 7th Congress of Delegates of the Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations, term 2024-2029, officially opens.
