Ghost movies from Vietnamese producers are topping the box office.

Screenwriter and producer Nhat Trung shared that on the first day of early screening (April 16), the horror film Finding the Body rose to the top spot at the box office with more than 53,000 tickets sold.

As of 8:00 a.m. on April 17, according to Box Office Vietnam, Finding Corpse continues to top the daily box office revenue chart.

Specifically, the film is currently scheduled for more than 2,500 screenings with about 8,000 tickets sold, earning nearly 600 million VND. Finding the Body currently has a total revenue of more than 4.1 billion VND.

On the evening of April 16, Finding the Body also had its official premiere to the audience in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event was attended by the entire film crew, including director Bui Van Hai, producer Nhat Trung, production director Dong Dang Giao and actors: People's Artist Hong Van, Tien Luat, Dai Nghia, Hoang Meo, Thanh Huong, Kim Huyen, Phan Vu, Phuong Linh.

Many Vietnamese artists: Hong Dao, Thu Trang, singer Ngoc Son, Lam Vi Da, Oc Thanh Van, Mac Van Khoa and his wife, Quach Ngoc Tuyen and his wife, actors Kha Ly - Thanh Duy, Ha Anh, Giang Ngoc, director Le Quoc Nam, director Nguyen Thanh Nam... also came to congratulate the film crew.

As for himself, actor Tien Luat said that at first he did not accept the role, but was persuaded by producer Nhat Trung. After reading the script, he was convinced by the character and story.

When asked about the most difficult scene with the character Tien, the male artist expressed that the biggest challenge was having to constantly switch emotions, sometimes pain, sometimes resentment, sometimes fear.

Finding the Corpse is the third film in the Five Elements supernatural project and represents the Earth element. Previously, Ma Da - representing the Water element and Quy Nhap Trang - representing the Metal element were released to the audience and both exceeded 100 billion VND in revenue.

The film follows Tien (Tien Luat), a morgue worker, and ambulance driver Thanh (Ngo Kien Huy) as they both begin a mysterious case of the death of an unidentified body.

The film will continue to have early screenings on April 17 before officially opening on April 18.
