The historic storm and flood caused particularly serious damage to the province’s telecommunications infrastructure. On average, each business suffered about 100 billion VND in damage. Many broadcasting stations were flooded, equipment was damaged, causing disruption of communications in many areas.

He suggested that network operators continue to strengthen their response capabilities, build backup systems, and divide key areas; and equip stations in low-lying areas with generators.
