Received 868 units of voluntary blood, timely support for Phu Yen General Hospital

The Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center said that at the end of the voluntary blood donation campaign from November 25 to 29, the center received 868 units of blood, each unit equivalent to 250 ml.

All of this blood has been preserved according to procedures and transferred to Phu Yen General Hospital to support emergency care and patient treatment.

Previously, the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center received a request for support from Phu Yen General Hospital because this unit is facing a serious blood shortage for treatment.

Buddhists of Sac Tu Khai Doan Pagoda registered to donate blood voluntarily this time.

Immediately after receiving the request, the center coordinated, urgently developed a plan and implemented a series of emergency blood donation activities, promptly responding to the urgent needs of Phu Yen General Hospital.

This blood donation activity is of special importance, not only timely supplementing blood supply for emergency services during the complicated flood period, but also demonstrating the sense of responsibility and solidarity of the community towards the health sector, contributing to ensuring the lives of patients in the most difficult times.
