Deploying many solutions to support women in starting businesses in the period 2026 - 2035

On the morning of November 30, the Vietnam Women's Union held a conference to review the Project "Supporting women to start businesses in the period 2017 - 2025" (Project 939); deploy the Project "Supporting women to start businesses in the period 2026 - 2035" (Project 2415) of the Government; and commend typical cooperatives managed by women in 2025.

The conference was held in person in Hanoi , online at 34 local bridges and bridges at communes, wards and special zones nationwide. Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Hong Thai chaired the conference at the Dak Lak bridge.

In the period 2017 - 2025, the Project "Supporting Women to Start a Business" chaired by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union has aroused and nurtured the entrepreneurial aspirations of tens of thousands of women across the country.

With the support of the Union at all levels, through training, capital connection, and market consulting, 118,533 women have started businesses and startups; 1,666 cooperatives and over 6,000 cooperative groups managed and operated by women have been supported to be newly established; 130,000 newly established enterprises have been consulted and supported to improve their capacity; 187 projects have won the "Women's Startup" Contest.

Following the success of Project 939, Project 2415 continues to support all women who want to start a business. Special attention is paid to supporting women in green startups, digital startups and inclusive startups, towards a humane, creative and sustainable economy; expanding opportunities for all women, so that every woman, wherever she is, whatever she does, has the opportunity to develop the economy, get rich legitimately and contribute and "no one is left behind"; strengthening the connection of domestic and foreign resources, promoting the movement of Digital Literacy, green transformation, training in business, finance, management skills, and building a network of consultants and startup coaches, helping Vietnamese women confidently step into the digital future, knowledge economy and global integration.

According to the specific objectives of the Project, in the period of 2026 - 2035, 90% of female members will be educated about entrepreneurship; 90% of Association officials will be trained professionally; 75,000 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households owned by women will receive legal advice and support; 50,000 enterprises will apply ESG criteria; 25,000 business households will transform into enterprises; 30,000 enterprises will participate in digital transformation; the rate of female leaders in business will reach 35%.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that in the context of the rapidly changing and unpredictable world economy, Vietnam is entering a new stage of development, requiring business models to be flexible and adaptable to digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy and ESG standards. The Prime Minister requested all levels and sectors to create conditions for women, especially disadvantaged women, women in remote and isolated areas and ethnic minority women, to have equal access to opportunities in starting and developing businesses.

Implementing Project 2415, the Prime Minister requested the Vietnam Women's Union to strongly innovate, focusing on improving digital capacity, governance, creative thinking and financial accessibility. At the same time, strengthen the connection between the State - enterprises - international organizations - experts, provide legal support, build brands and expand markets for female enterprises.

Ministries and sectors need to perfect mechanisms on green credit, circular economy and create creative spaces and online consulting platforms to help women easily access knowledge, technology and market information.

The Prime Minister also called on Vietnamese women to be committed, manage intelligently, adapt flexibly and act humanely in business and society.

The conference commended, rewarded and honored 61 collectives and 84 women individuals with outstanding achievements in starting a business, supporting women to start a successful business and 50 cooperatives managed by women that are exemplary in production and business activities, attracting and creating many jobs for female workers.
