At the meeting, leaders of departments and branches of Tien Giang province and the district together recognized and objectively assessed the actual situation, thereby agreeing on key tasks and solutions to overcome difficulties and challenges, striving to achieve the highest socio-economic development and investment goals in 2025.

(ABO) On the afternoon of May 19, comrade Tran Van Dung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the leaders of Cho Gao district to assess the implementation of growth targets; finance, budget, public assets; public investment plans, non-budgetary investment; breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in Cho Gao district.
The report at the working session showed that in the first 5 months of 2025, Cho Gao district achieved good results in implementing socio -economic development tasks.
Specifically, most of the targets and tasks were implemented on schedule in all areas and had a fairly good increase compared to the same period, especially budget collection.
The preparation of documents and implementation of basic construction works are ensured; agricultural and industrial production is stable and has developed steps.
Cultural, social, defense and security activities are well maintained. The district has completed the selection and calling of citizens to join the army in 2025.
Social security is always concerned, policies and guidelines for subjects are well implemented according to regulations.

Accordingly, Cho Gao district achieved many positive results in areas such as: Rice, crops, garden economy; livestock and poultry farming are basically stable.
In the district, 33 new enterprises were established (Resolution 70 - 75 enterprises), bringing the total number of companies and enterprises to 436, with a total capital of 455 billion VND.
The district has 32 cooperatives and 1 cooperative branch operating in various fields, with 3,695 members and a total charter capital of 93 billion VND. The district has 44 OCOP products (in 17 communes), including 26 3-star products and 18 4-star products.
Budget revenue from the local economy was 85.3 billion VND, up 24.1% over the same period, reaching 50% of the estimate assigned by the province. Total expenditure in the district budget balance was 353.5 billion VND, reaching 39.1% of the estimate.
Regarding public investment: Total capital allocated in 2025 is 336,345 billion VND; of which provincial budget capital: Total capital allocation plan is 252,211 billion VND, implementing 33 projects (11 projects transferred, 12 projects finalized, 10 new projects constructed); disbursed to date is 529 million VND. District budget capital: Total capital allocation plan in 2025 is 84,134 billion VND, implementing 49 projects, of which 26 projects are transferred, 23 new projects are constructed; disbursed to date: 16,621 billion VND, reaching 19.76% of the capital allocation plan.

In addition, the district has also focused on implementing the policy of rearranging administrative units; arranging public assets; grasping the thoughts and aspirations of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers... At the same time, the district has also deployed a number of key tasks in 2025 to strive to achieve the GRDP growth target of over 8%.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Tran Van Dung highly appreciated the district leaders for being proactive, creative, determined with a high sense of responsibility in managing the district's socio-economic development; the district's efforts in basically completing the work of rearranging commune-level administrative units according to the Central's direction.

At the same time, comrade Tran Van Dung requested localities to continue focusing on implementing the resolutions and directions of the Central Committee, especially Conclusion No. 123-KL/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Party Central Committee on the Project to supplement socio-economic development in 2025 with a growth target of 8% or more, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

He requested relevant sectors to continue supporting Cho Gao district to find solutions to completely resolve the difficulties and problems it is facing; and guide the district to continue implementing specialized resolutions.
In addition, the district needs to review the district's 2025 targets, assign specific tasks to each sector and facility; accelerate public investment progress; focus on enterprise development; promote science and technology and digital transformation, apply science and technology to agricultural production, apply information technology to trade and services; digitize documents, data, connect software in all fields, and ensure that no data is lost, missing, or leaked.
Regarding the arrangement of administrative units: The district continues to do a good job of ideological work for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers; resolve policies and regimes promptly and in accordance with regulations; assess the ability to implement socio-economic development targets for the first 6 months of the year and the whole year of 2025 to have a plan to reallocate targets to new administrative units...
