(gialai.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of July 25, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich visited and presented gifts to the family of People's Armed Forces Hero, Martyr Tran Van Binh - Former Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Martyr Tran Van Binh (September 5, 1922 - April 19, 1974) was the former Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, joined the revolution from April 28, 1945, joined the Party on November 9, 1946, was one of 134 cadres of Gia Lai province who stayed after the 1954 Geneva Agreement. As Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee during the war, he was the one who decided on important issues in all aspects in the management area. For more than 10 years in this position, Secretary Tran Van Binh, together with the army and people of Gia Lai, overcame many difficulties and hardships, and together with the whole country, reached the final victory.

During the meeting with the family of Martyr Tran Van Binh, in a friendly atmosphere, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich expressed her emotion when mentioning the great contributions of the former Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee. She affirmed that the Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Martyr Tran Van Binh is a "big tree", who laid the foundation and left a great mark in the revolutionary movement, leading the army and people of Gia Lai province in the resistance movement to save the country. The current generation is always grateful and never forgets the great contributions of the generations of fathers and brothers who did not spare their blood, bones, youth, and were ready to fight and sacrifice for the noble revolutionary ideal. That bright revolutionary tradition has guided the country of Vietnam in general and Gia Lai province in particular to firmly step into a new era - the era of development and integration of the nation.

On behalf of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich burned incense to express gratitude and sent gifts to the family of the People's Armed Forces Hero, Martyr Tran Van Binh.
