Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha inspects the progress of the 500kV power line project.

On the morning of February 17, continuing the working trip to inspect the progress of the North-South expressway project, Dien Chau - Bai Vot section, the Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha inspected the construction progress of the 500kV transmission line project, circuit 3, Quang Trach - Quynh Luu section through Ha Tinh .

Accompanying the delegation were Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh and leaders of Ha Tinh province.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the working delegation inspected the site at the foundation of column 175 (belonging to package 25, construction and installation of lines 171 - 180) of the 500kV line project through Cam Thach commune, Cam Xuyen district.

Here, reporting to the working group, the contractor representative said that the foundation of column 175 is one of the tallest columns of the route (along with columns 135 and 136) with a height of 145m, weight of 426 tons; foundation steel 109.9 tons.

Currently, the construction unit is mobilizing many machines and equipment to level the ground, the estimated volume is about ^7,000m3 (about 70% of the volume). The project is expected to be completed before June 30, 2024.

Regarding site clearance work, Ha Tinh localities have handed over 100% of column foundation locations, ensuring project progress. Strive to complete and hand over 100% of the route corridor (140.8km) in March 2024.

After listening to the reports from the units, the Deputy Prime Minister said that Ha Tinh is one of the localities with many key national projects passing through, so the workload is large, but up to now, the overall progress of the project in Ha Tinh is guaranteed; 100% of the column foundation positions have been handed over since February 7.

The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated Ha Tinh for doing a good job in site clearance and site clearance.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested investors, localities, and contractors to continue to closely follow the Prime Minister's motto of action and direction: "Only discuss work, no retreat, overcome the sun and rain, eat and sleep quickly, work in 3 shifts, 4 shifts, work through holidays and Tet."

In addition, at the inspection, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the investor and contractor to study scientific construction methods to ensure environmental hygiene because not far from the construction site is Boc Nguyen reservoir - which supplies water to the entire city of Ha Tinh.

The 500kV line project, circuit 3, Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, section through Ha Tinh, part of the 500kV line system, circuit 3, Quang Trach - Pho Noi, was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 500/QD-TTg dated May 15, 2023 of the National Power Development Plan for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050 (Power Plan VIII).

The power line passing through Ha Tinh is about 141.52km, with 285 locations, located in 9 districts/towns: Ky Anh town (26.26km, 52 locations), Ky Anh district (23.59km, 51 locations), Cam Xuyen district (30.46km, 62 locations), Thach Ha district (13.7km, 28 locations), Huong Khe district (20.22km, 35 locations), Can Loc district (2.74km, 5 locations), Vu Quang district (4.2km, 8 locations), Duc Tho district (15.35km, 33 locations) and Huong Son district (5.02km, 11 foundation locations).
