Attending the conference were: Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders of general departments and agencies under the Ministry of National Defense .
At the conference, leaders of the General Department of Politics, the General Staff and agencies gave their opinions on the draft report summarizing the implementation of military and defense tasks in the first 6 months of 2025; and preparations for the Military-Political Conference in the first 6 months of 2025.

Based on the reports of the agencies and units, the Office of the Ministry of National Defense has coordinated to draft a preliminary report on the implementation of military and defense tasks in the first 6 months of 2025 and continue to send comments to agencies and units. In addition, the Military Radio and Television Center has proactively created a video clip to report at the conference. The Office of the Ministry of National Defense has also developed a plan to serve the military-political conference, focusing on measures to protect security, safety and prevent and control the epidemic.
Concluding the conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised the Office of the Ministry of National Defense for closely coordinating with agencies to develop conference documents, including written summary reports and video clip reports that ensure good quality in terms of content and images.

Require relevant agencies to absorb all opinions at the conference, filter them into the draft and promptly complete the report, ensuring it is complete and coherent to report to the Central Military Commission Standing Committee in the coming time. Note that the video clip report needs to include images of outstanding activities of the troops in training, rehearsals, and combat readiness. Enhance images of the Army participating in the parade and marching at the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and the training activities of units preparing to participate in the parade and marching at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
General Nguyen Tan Cuong noted that the Military-Political Conference in the first 6 months of 2025 will be attended by Party and State leaders, so agencies and units will coordinate closely and prepare best in all aspects for the conference. In particular, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army directed the Department of Operations to develop a combat readiness plan. Directed functional agencies and units: Engineering, Chemistry, Electronic Warfare, Military Medicine... to coordinate and deploy measures to best ensure security and safety; ensure good ceremonies and festivities for the conference; coordinate to ensure good accommodation for delegates of agencies and units attending the conference, especially to carry out disinfection spraying, and do a good job of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.
