Coordinate efforts to accelerate the progress of concentrated information technology and innovation zones.

(Dong Nai) - On the afternoon of December 15th, Mr. Le Truong Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, worked with relevant departments, agencies, and localities on the progress of the following projects: Long Thanh Concentrated Digital Technology Park; the 300-hectare Innovation Zone in Binh An commune; and the 200-hectare Science, Technology and Innovation Zone in Dong Xoai ward.

According to the Department of Science and Technology, for the Long Thanh Digital Technology Park, the department has completed the planning task dossier for the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan and is awaiting appraisal. After the zoning plan is approved by the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Science and Technology will proceed with the preparation of the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan in accordance with regulations. The zoning plan dossier is expected to be submitted for appraisal in the first quarter of 2026.

Regarding the 300-hectare Innovation Zone in Binh An commune, the Department has submitted a request for approval to develop a 1/2,000 scale zoning plan, in parallel with updating relevant information in the provincial planning. The Department is also soliciting opinions from various departments, agencies, and units in the development of the project dossier.

Regarding the 200-hectare Science, Technology and Innovation Zone in Dong Xoai Ward, the planning review and on-site survey of the project area have revealed certain advantages. The Department recommends that the province consider approving the plan's location within the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan of the Suoi Cam Urban Area.

At the meeting, representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and localities discussed the contents of the projects; the difficulties and obstacles that need to be overcome in the documentation and planning; and the orientation for attracting investment in the future.

In his directive, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son requested the Department of Science and Technology to coordinate with relevant units to proactively monitor progress and act as the focal point for all tasks related to the project. Departments and agencies should review and agree on solutions to overcome existing difficulties and obstacles; as well as propose appropriate solutions to accelerate implementation according to regulations. These are important projects for Dong Nai province aimed at developing a modern, high-tech economy in the future, therefore they need to be implemented quickly, with research into regulations and shortening procedures based on relevant legal provisions.
