This is the ninth time Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has inspected the Long Thanh airport project.

According to the plan, the airport will welcome its first official flight on December 19th.
Following the inspection, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held a working session with the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and related units. During the meeting, the Prime Minister commended the responsible work ethic of the ministries, departments, Dong Nai province, project investors, contractors, engineers, and workers.

To date, eight main components of the project, including the passenger terminal, air traffic control tower, runway 1, power system, water supply system, communications system, fuel storage system, and airport access roads, have been largely completed. Of these, the passenger terminal – the "heart" of the project – and the air traffic control tower – the "brain" of flight operations – have been largely completed, enabling aircraft to take off and land at Long Thanh Airport.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested relevant units to mobilize maximum resources, work in "3 shifts, 4 teams," day and night to complete the work items serving the ceremony to welcome the first official flight on December 19th. Military Region 7, in coordination with ACV, deployed military forces to support the construction of items to ensure service for the technical flight and the official flight.
Earlier that afternoon, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation inspected the progress of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project through Dong Nai province.
