Five years is not a long journey, but it is a meaningful period, marking the tireless efforts, solidarity and remarkable growth of the staff of the Ship Engineering Department. With the close leadership and direction of the Party Committee, commanders at all levels, directly the Party Committee and commander of the Corps Engineering Department - now the Corps Engineering Department, the Department has successfully completed all assigned tasks, achieving outstanding results in many aspects of work.

The Department has performed well in its role as an advisor to leaders at all levels on the strategy of ensuring technical safety of ships; grasped the quantity, quality, and synchronization of weapons, technical equipment, technical supplies, and technical safety facilities, thereby proposing the planning, use, and strategic reserve of technical equipment and technical supplies for ships throughout the army. The work of inspecting, guiding, and directing specialized ships has been carried out comprehensively and systematically.

The Department actively participates in appraising programs and projects for purchasing, building, repairing, improving, and modernizing ships; inspecting and accepting technical equipment of ships of all military units. Many directive solutions have been effectively implemented, contributing to maintaining the technical coefficient of weapons and technical equipment for combat readiness missions.

Over the past 5 years, the Department has done a good job of managing the quality of repairs at factories and enterprises; directed the development of procedures and standards for preservation and maintenance of modern technical equipment and weapons; actively participated in scientific research movements, initiatives, technical improvements, and production of technical supplies, including the project "Building software to manage the ship industry database" with good results. The application of information technology in technical management has been focused on, gradually building a digital platform, electronic identification codes for technical equipment and technical supplies specialized in ship engineering.

Training in the use of life-saving equipment.

The Department has advised and presided over the development of Circulars regulating the protection of the vitality of surface military vessels, guiding the technical work of vessels; participated in the development of regulations, documents, and books serving the technical work of the entire army. The training, coaching, and professional development of technical officers and staff has been promoted, in which it has presided over the organization of 4 specialized training courses with 315 students receiving thorough training.

Not only completing professional tasks well, the Party Committee and Command of the Department also pay special attention to the work of building a strong and comprehensive unit. In recent years, 100% of the cadres and party members in the Department have completed their tasks well. For many consecutive years, the Department has been recognized as an advanced collective and awarded a Certificate of Merit by the General Staff.

After 5 years of construction and development, the Ship Engineering Department has gradually built the tradition of "Proactive - Creative - Solidarity - Responsibility". Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Ship Engineering Department will continue to thoroughly grasp Resolution 1656-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission on leading technical work until 2030 and the following years. Focus on improving the capacity of consulting and directing in all aspects of ship engineering work; strengthen training, build technical regulations, promote the 50 Campaign on management and exploitation of weapons and technical equipment.

The past 5 years have been an important foundation for the Ship Engineering Department to continue to expand, contributing to the modernization of the Army, firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. With a strong political stance, a spirit of dedication and a desire for continuous development, the Ship Engineering Department will continue to affirm its role as one of the pioneering units, leading in building regulations, advising and proposing to the Party Committee, the commander of the Army Engineering Department, and the service comprehensive contents on ship engineering work of the entire army.
