At the reception, Madam Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga and Madam Shin Kyunghye discussed the traditional cultures of Vietnam and Korea and cooperation between the two countries in the cultural field.

Over the past 30 years, since the official establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea (December 22, 1992), along with the development of friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership, cooperation between the two countries in the cultural field has also become increasingly close, effective, and has made remarkable progress. Recently, many cooperation activities in developing cultural industries within the bilateral and multilateral framework have been effectively implemented, attracting the participation of agencies, associations, and businesses of the two countries.

The two countries are actively promoting exchange, promotion and communication activities on culture, sports and tourism, and organizing cultural events such as exhibitions, performances, cultural days and Vietnamese cultural weeks in Korea and Korean cultural days and weeks in Vietnam.

The two sides also promote exchanges between cultural and artistic groups. Korea actively supports Vietnam in building and implementing a strategy for developing the cultural industry; and supports Vietnam in establishing a Vietnamese Cultural Center in Korea...

At the meeting, the two ladies also listened to fashion designers introduce traditional costumes of Vietnamese women from the past to the present; watched the performance of the Four-piece Dress Fashion Collection with the theme " Day Mua", recreating the costumes and daily life of Vietnamese village women in the past and the Ao Dai collection by designer David Minh Duc named "Heritage Journey", inspired by the theme revolving around Dao Mau - a familiar spiritual and cultural symbol in Vietnamese life.
The two ladies also enjoyed art performances imbued with the cultural imprints of the two countries, performed by unique traditional Vietnamese musical instruments such as the monochord, the two-stringed fiddle, the T'rung... performed by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
