News from the My Thuan Project Management Board ( Ministry of Construction ) said that the unit has just had a traffic organization plan for the Tan Van - Nhon Trach construction investment project, phase 1, of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
This project has a main route length of 8.14 km with the starting point intersecting with DT25B (Nhon Trach commune, Dong Nai province) and the end point connecting with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway (Long Truong ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The project is expected to be inaugurated on August 19 and officially put into operation from 7:00 a.m. on August 20.
Based on comments from relevant units on the traffic organization plan, My Thuan Project Management Board approved the traffic organization plan in 2 phases.
Classification of vehicles allowed to cross Nhon Trach bridge
Specifically, phase 1: Dong Nai side will organize 2 car lanes and 2 mixed lanes from DT.25B to Nhon Trach bridge (motorbikes are only allowed to circulate from DT.25B to Ly Tu Trong street, not yet able to cross Nhon Trach bridge). Level crossings at 3 existing level crossings (DT.25B, DT.769, Ly Tu Trong street) through temporary roads and organize traffic using a system of signs combined with traffic lights (red, yellow, green);
Ho Chi Minh City will organize car traffic from Nhon Trach bridge to connect to HLD intersection.
The My Thuan Project Management Board noted that during this phase, motorbikes, trucks over 1.5 tons, and passenger cars with more than 16 seats are prohibited from circulating on the entire route of Component Project 1A, because the intersection connecting to the toll station for the HLD Expressway has not been fully completed.
Motorbikes, trucks over 1.5 tons and passenger cars over 16 seats are prohibited from circulating on the entire route of Component Project 1A, because the intersection connecting to the toll station for the HLD highway has not been fully completed.
Phase 2 (expected by the end of 2026) when other connecting projects including Component Project 1A are completed (invested by Ho Chi Minh City) and Component Project 3 (invested by Dong Nai province) are completed, the traffic organization plan will be according to the plan.
During this phase, the organization of traffic on the entire route is expected to follow the scale of the highway (motor vehicles will circulate on the core part of the 4-lane highway, mixed vehicles will circulate on the parallel road), especially Nhon Trach bridge with 4 lanes will operate mixed traffic (organizing the cross-section with 2 motor vehicle lanes and 2 mixed vehicle lanes, with a median strip separating the motor vehicle lane and the mixed vehicle lane).
Thus, motorbikes will be allowed to travel across Nhon Trach Bridge to conveniently connect Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai from the end of 2026.
