PTSC Quang Ngai hands over more than 800 tons of equipment for export to the European market

On July 30, 2024, at Terminal No. 1 - PTSC Dung Quat Port, PTSC Quang Ngai Petroleum Services Joint Stock Company (PTSC Quang Ngai) handed over a shipment of more than 800 tons of Bypass Exhaust System equipment to the M/V Alanis ship to begin the journey to the Republic of Ireland for installation, ensuring the schedule committed to the customer. This is a proud achievement from the tireless efforts of the PTSC Quang Ngai staff after more than 10 months of focusing on the drastic implementation of detailed design, procurement, manufacturing, packaging and acceptance of goods.
Although, over the years, PTSC Quang Ngai has accumulated a lot of experience through the completion of hundreds of projects with a volume of tens of thousands of tons of similar equipment including: Inlet transition duct, elbow duct, silencer, stack, support structure, ... for many gas power plants around the world , PTSC Quang Ngai still encountered many challenges when implementing this project with a volume of more than 800 tons for 5 units, manufactured according to European standards EN-1090, complying with strict requirements from input materials according to CE marking for the European market, ... Recognizing these challenges, immediately after receiving the Contract from the customer from September 2023, PTSC Quang Ngai focused on planning, assessing and developing a risk management plan, developing strict construction and quality control measures as well as closely monitoring the implementation to promptly handle any arising issues that could affect the project to ensure Ensure that manufactured equipment components fully meet the specified requirements.
The successful completion and handover of this Contract once again affirms the capacity of PTSC Quang Ngai in the field of providing mechanical product processing and manufacturing services for export, thereby opening up many new opportunities for cooperation between the partner EGL Group (Australia) and PTSC Quang Ngai in many upcoming projects in the regional and international markets. It is known that this contract for the Bypass Exhaust System (Exhaust Gas Conduction System) belongs to the Castlelost FlexGen Gas Turbine Thermal Power Plant built in County Westmeath, Ireland with an expected capacity of 275MW including 5 Units using SGT-800 Gas Turbines. It is expected that after completion, Castlelost FlexGen will become a Power Plant capable of comprehensively providing various levels of electricity capacity along with grid ancillary services, as well as the ability to support the transition to a low-carbon economy .
