PUMA brings brainwave measurement technology to VnExpress night run for the first time

On the morning of November 30, 2025, the VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight Powered by PUMA (VMHM 2025) will officially take place, marking 5 years of formation and development of one of the most popular sporting events in Hanoi. With nearly 10,000 athletes participating, the 2025 season promises to bring an energetic night, where the spirit of conquest blends with the ancient and modern beauty of the capital in the quiet space at midnight.

Since its first event in 2020, VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight has become a symbol of endurance and a unique experience: running through the night in a familiar Hanoi but with a completely different look. 2025 marks the 5-year milestone, the theme “GO WILD HANOI” continues to evoke the strong, free and individualistic spirit of the runner community. This is also the first year that PUMA has accompanied as a strategic partner, bringing a youthful and modern look to the race through accompanying categories and brand activities.

During the 28-29/11, athletes will receive race items and have the opportunity to experience exciting activities from sponsors. The highlight of this year's event area is PUMA's exhibition booth with a design simulating the largest shoe box in Vietnam. This is considered a symbol of each individual's comfort zone. When stepping inside, athletes will have the opportunity to explore , listen and connect with themselves through brainwave measurement activities. This experience strongly conveys the spirit of "go outside the box" - a call for athletes to step out of their familiar limits to begin a journey to explore Hanoi at night, in harmony with the GO WILD HANOI message of this year's tournament.

Before the main race day, PUMA organized the Shake Out Run event on the afternoon of November 28, 2025, gathering runners, pacers and prominent KOLs of the Vietnamese running community. The event aimed to create an exciting atmosphere, help runners "warm up" and maintain foot feeling before G-hour, connecting the community in the spirit of GO WILD HANOI. This was also an activity to build positive energy, helping runners confidently enter the race journey in the early morning of November 30.

At 00:05 on November 30, the tournament officially kicked off. The VMHM 2025 route continues to take athletes to explore Hanoi through historical landmarks. Runners will pass through the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Thanh Nien Street - the "silk strip" between West Lake and Truc Bach, Phan Dinh Phung Street with tree-lined streets, Hoan Kiem Lake with sparkling lights and typical old streets. In particular, this year's journey extends across Vinh Tuy Bridge and Long Bien Bridge - two bridges symbolizing the intersection between tradition and modern life of the city. This is not only a running route, but also a journey to feel a poetic Hanoi in a special moment of the night.

The official VMHM 2025 jersey continues to use the signature pink color - the color that has become the symbol of the tournament over the years. The minimalist, modern design, with the number 5 on the sleeve, marks the 5-year milestone of VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight. The jersey promises to create a brilliant "pink wave" covering the night running track, inspiring and instilling the "Go Wild Midnight" spirit for all runners.

The VMHM 2025 Finisher Shirt includes two versions for each distance. The 21km Finisher Shirt has a midnight blue color that transitions to light, representing the spirit of breakthrough and freedom on the running track; the T-shirt design is breathable, suitable for both competition and daily use. The 42km Finisher Shirt is a windbreaker designed specifically for runners to conquer the entire 42,195km, using waterproof - windproof - durable material, with elegant and strong white - turquoise colors. Each Finisher Shirt is a milestone of the journey of effort in the middle of the Hanoi night, honoring the endurance spirit of the runner.

The VMHM 2025 medal carries the complete story of the race's 5-year journey. The center of the medal is the image of the overnight train numbered VMHM-05 - a symbol of the enduring train, continuously rolling with the runner community for half a decade. Behind the train are two historical symbols of Hanoi: Hanoi Flag Tower and Long Bien Bridge, as silent witnesses accompanying the city over the years. Above is the architecture of Hanoi Railway Station - the starting point of many trips, also the starting point of each runner's journey when entering the competition night. The back of the medal is engraved with the words: "5 years of brilliant journey, where millions of footsteps touch the soul of the old town." The medal is a tribute to Hanoi and the tens of thousands of footsteps that together wrote a symphony in the middle of the night.
