(Dan Tri) - After the railway coffee street on Tran Phu - Phung Hung ( Hanoi ) was "terminated", a new railway coffee shop appeared at Long Bien station.
Vietnam Railways Corporation has just put into operation a new train waiting room, which is also a coffee shop and train station check-in service location at Long Bien station (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi). It is known that this is an 80m2 level 4 house, located opposite the inside of the station, which has been renovated and repaired to serve passengers.
The coffee shop named Hoa Xa has a main gate to welcome guests on Tran Nhat Duat street and a side gate opening towards Long Bien station (opened/closed by Long Bien station security).
Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, representative of Vietnam Railway Corporation said that the project is part of the plan to diversify types of transportation support services, improve service quality and invest in upgrading "Each station is a destination" in provinces and cities where the railway passes through.
The cafe is designed with large glass windows in an old French style.
According to a representative of Vietnam Railways Corporation, this coffee shop is a train waiting room, supporting and serving train passengers. Visitors can come here to rest, relax and check-in at permitted locations according to the instructions of the station staff, without having to use any services.
The first time she came to the Hoa Xa Coffee Shop, Nguyen Lien (27 years old, Cau Giay district) seemed excited. She said that from above, she could see Long Bien Bridge, Long Bien Station… in a unique and special way.
Vo Thi Dung (26 years old, white shirt) learned about the train street cafe through social media, so she invited her friends to come and experience it.
"I have heard many times about waiting for a train, but this is the first time I have experienced it and it feels quite exciting. The coffee shop model next to the train station is really special," Dung said.
To ensure train safety, Hanoi Railway Operation Branch (Long Bien Station Management Unit) has developed measures to ensure railway traffic safety and increased security personnel.
At the junction between the cafe and the railway, the unit has installed a fence and regularly closed the gate. At the same time, they have arranged security guards to remind visitors to avoid violating railway safety regulations.
Security guards only open the door for passengers to enter the station area when it is time to pick up passengers at the train station according to regulations.
Previously, in September 2022, Hanoi "closed" the railway coffee street connecting Le Duan, Tran Phu, Cua Dong and Phung Hung streets, about 2km long. The authorities said that "gathering, doing business and trading here affects railway safety and order".
In that context, Vietnam Railways Corporation hopes that Hoa Xa Coffee will be a safe and legal destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
